Dominos pizza

What crack's me up is they have commercials that actually admit that their pizza used to suck so they tried to make it better.

They need a better marketing department.
I have never cared for any of the "franchise" pizza chains, this includes Pizza Hut. I never use any of them.

I have two of them within two miles of the house. Had pizza from both places and I thought it was pretty good (copmared to what they tasted like in the past). I guess it's like any place else. It depends on who is doing the cooking.

Back when I worked at Domino's, they were pretty strict about consistency from pizza to pizza and maker to maker. They had a regional person visit the franchises to test and taste the pizzas and people.

This was back when they still had the 30 minute guarantee.
Allegedly they have improved greatly from a few years ago. The CEO goes on Mad Money all the time and has a circle jerk with Jim Cramer.

The only acceptable chain pizza's IMO are Donato's and Papa Murphy's....but even those suck compared to the good mom-n-pop shops found throughout the northeast and Chicago regions.

Marketing dept? HELL,they need a new test kitchen or real tasters to actually try that shit. Its the frickin' commercial that made it look pretty good with litle parm bread bites(which totally sucked as well) that enticed me to give them a try again after umpteen years,i thought 'can't be that bad' ". My 17 yr lod wouldn't even eat any of the pizza. I made lasagna last night and he warmed those bread bites up and ate ONE!. The kid who'll eat about anything.

My first experiences with Domino's I thought they were pretty good. The last couple I've had not so great.
Their non-conventional pizza Philly Steak is very tasty.

I'm eating dominos pizza right now. They used to be very very bad now IMO they are ok.

The pizza is only good when it's hot and be sure to ask for extra sauce. You can't beat $7.99 for a large pizza with 3 toppings.
There are so many good options now for fresh Pizza Crusts, for me the best (lazy) option is to buy the high quality crust and create and bake your ideal at home.
The absolute best is to also make your own crust - it is very easy - and you can make a dozen at once and freeze them individually.

Trader Joes sells homemade pizza dough in regular or wheat. The ideal thing is to get a pizza stone for your oven.

I purchased a new gas grill (STOK) in December as a holiday gift to myself. It came with a pizza stone about 12 inches.

When I put the dome cover on, that grill can get to over 650 degrees, according to the built in thermometer.

Makes a pretty good pizza, but a hassle to have ingredients "on hand" when wanted.
