Don Diego may be right...................

Video

This is a video of an investment research company predicting the collapse of the U.S. economy which could happen very soon. Of course the video promotes a strategy for investments for a fee but it does give some good insight as to the reasoning for the possible collapse saying that the U.S. government has taken on too much debt, printing too much dollars, and the U.S. dollar losing its status as the "World Reserve Currency," in which the U.S. dollar will lose its value exponentially. The video is about 30-45 minutes long but very informative in my opinion. I'm actually contemplating changing my portfolio to include precious metals and foreign currency.
If the US economy were to collapse, your precious metals and foreign currency would be just as worthless. If I had a kernal of thought this might happen, I'd invest in surplus military equipment and as much high velocity ammo as I could.
Brill, I do beg to differ. Anything paper would be worthless (well it should burn ok), precious metals will be the stuff folks trade for goods and services. How do you think people managed for about the first 7,000 years???? Gold baby!!

I'd stock up in females, although medical supplies and doctors are going to be a real good investment. Guns will also work, but to really corner the market, I'd start stocking up now, no time like the present. Black powder will do ok and you can make it and sell it for stuff.
You bring your gold to the party, I'll bring my AK, we'll see who leaves happier.

We find Don Diego to be right more times than not. His posts are usually so enjoyable, informative, & factual, and we look forward to them all the time along with a few others on here.
Here's some more info from Peter Shiff who predicted the housing bubble collapse:

Paper money is worth whatever we think it's worth. Gold is worth whatever we think it's worth. Although gold is much better for making jewelry.
For those investing in gold and other precious metals, do they ship a box of metal to your house or do you just see a number on a computer screen that represents the amount of metal you own somewhere but you have no idea where to go to pick it up and take it home to start making the jewelry that you'll eventually trade for food?

Just remember Brill, AK's have a rather limited supply of ammo. Greed often has and does negate the fear of bullets.

Just a number Kay. Trading in actual stock I.E. the metal in question usually runs a premium. I believe it was less than 10% for the actual metal instead of paper.
