DonDiego is part of a burgeoning social movement, . . .

Beer, sweet wonderful beer, something that has the potential to bring world peace. Liberals and Conservatives unite and have a nice craft beer on tap.

I am proud to live in the home of Cigar City Brewing https://cigarcitybrewing.com/

If you ever get into Tampa for a cruise or any other reason make a trip to the brewery.

The owner and founder is the son of Joe Redner the owner and founder of The Mons Venus.
OK, call me crass, uncouth, unrefined or whatever, but I find all (well the ones I've tried) craft brews, well, weird. Beer to me shouldn't taste like strawberry's or honey or tree bark or mule farts or any other "weird" stuff. Beer should taste like, well...beer. Any of the ingredients that make it deviate from that taste is, well, strange. Beer should taste like that nasty stuff my dad let me have a sip of 40 yrs ago(probably bud).

Just one mans opinion

If it tastes like BEER and beer only, I'm all over it. I'm not too proud to purchase a case of pussy..er..um..yep, set me up with a pussy!

BTW In no way do I begrudge those who enjoy there strawberry/walnut shell stouts and other microbrews, but gimme the pussy lager all day long.

Gosh, I opened this thread because I thought Don Diego was going to tell me he was into cosplay.
You can't beat the Blue States of the Pacific Northwest when it comes to locally produced craft beers.

I don't know what it is, whether it's the water, climate or altitude but they are just f'ing outstanding.
Currently either drinkin 'em at World of Beer or combing thru the shelves at Total Wine & More.

I highly recommend Malone's in Lexington. I believe that there are three locations and I've visited two. They have outstanding food at refreshingly reasonable prices. It's odd, but this steakhouse also does top notch sushi, if DD is so inclined.

They serve about 100 various Bourbons, but I limit myself to only one. They also have that list of nice craft beers, including the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout.

Did DonDiego possibly enjoy the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout while visiting Malone's Steakhouse in Lexington, Kentucky? I enjoyed two such beers while in Lexington on business a month back.

The beer was quite magnificent, and my favorite beer choice in years.
DonDiego isn't sure where he ingested the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel first; it might've been Cincinnati.

But he did treat himself to a 4-beer flight [sampler] at the downtown-Lexington "Saul Good Restaurant and Pub", which included a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Amber Ale and a Country Boy Shotgun Wedding.
DonDiego'll have to try Malone's sometime; he'll be passing through Lexington again on his way to some of the five remaining NFL Stadia which he has not visited.

It's all good.

Ahh. There is actually something in the world Don Diego and I would not argue about. I see some Founders on that list.

I suggest everyone seek and imbibe the Founder's Old Rasputin Imperial Stout . I drive 35 minutes every Saturday to have one in downtown Indy. I'm considering moving downtown just to be closer to it. ITS THAT FRIGGIN GOOD

I have one bottle left in my fridge. Why do you call it "Founder's"? I will drink it tonight in honor of poor old DonDiego and the stupid fucking Eagles who once again disappointed me.

Founder's Brewing Company, 235 Grandville Ave. SW, Grand Rapids, MI

EXCEPT that Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout isn't brewed by Founder's. It is brewed by Northcoast Brewing Company 455 North Main Street, Fort Bragg, CA

Old Rasputin is made by North Coast Brewing.

Founder's makes an imperial stout they call Imperial Stout. I've never had the pleasure.
