DonDiego Recommends One Live for Today . . .

. . . as it is unlikely anyone will be here in, say, a few million years:
Apocalypse When ? : Which apocalyptic threats are most likely to wipe out Earth's population and when ?

Example: "Flawed Super Artificial Intelligence: A malign or badly programmed technological super intelligence annihilates humankind." . . . within this century" ! ! !
DonDiego supposes such a denouement is more likely, and more likely sooner, than the almost inevitable catastrophic Gamma Ray Burst.

Party on, man !

C'Mon Man ?!?!?

It's Happy Friday and the Weekend is almost upon us with great NFL Playoff games

and you are trying to bring us down with this stuff

Quite the contrary !

With the possible exception of Global Thermonuclear War, there is practically no chance of extermination of the human species this weekend.

On the other hand, . . . the Eagles are no longer in the playoffs, . . . so what's the point anyway? Oh wait ! Nevermind, . . . Life is Good:
I am 57 years old. I have been retired for three years. My wife and I both agree 2014 was the best year we have ever had in our entire lives. We both have made up our minds to do our absolute best to not sweat the small stuff and when it comes to the big stuff such as cancer, global warming and most of what Washington decides to do, we honestly could care less because WTF our we going to do about it anyway.

I used to sit in front of MSNBC and FOX for hours on end. I haven't watched either since I retired. My attitude is a lot better now and not knowing whether Obama uses Charmin or not hasn't affected my life one little bit.

Yes I still follow and post in some of the discussions here but for the most part why even concern yourself with it because really what are you going to do about it.

I know some here will want me committed based upon my next statement but here goes. We have made our peace with God and we know where we are going when we leave this world so the thought of leaving it doesn't concern me one bit.

Very wise, IMO. My husband has also abandoned Fox News, and even quit Rush, to my amazement.

Now, if he would quit the screaming radio guy (I forget the name), even better. But I'm glad for 2 out of three, and hope for less radio guy as time passes.

And he got us back going to church (husband, not radio guy), much better company to spend time with.
Ignorance is bliss.
