DonDiego....What A Wonderful World

Kind Sir:

I spent all last week traveling on business. Starting off in west-central Ohio, by Monday night I was in Hazelton, PA for an appointment in Carbondale, PA (both NE part of the state).
Then it was a beautiful drive down I-81 to Winchester, VA (little more than an hour west of DC) then to Kingsport, TN (NE corner). From there, it was a nice drive to Peachtree City, GA (just south of Atlanta).

I've been all around the contiguous United States and I have to say the only area I don't get quickly bored of driving through is your wonderful world of Appalachia. Just beautiful.

Truly a lucky gentleman you are.
DonDiego suggests one travel the Blue Ridge Parkway when a more leisurely pace is permitted one.

What a nice thought Billy Buckeye. We are very lucky....although, since DonDiego researched this area for over a year before we retired, it was not so much luck as determination to retire in a beautiful area. The trees are just budding out now...in a few weeks the entire Appalachia area will be verdant green swath cutting through Eastern/Southern America.

- - - - - - - Herbert "Cowboy" Coward - - - - - - - -

From IMDb :
When director John Boorman was having trouble finding a talented actor who was also toothless for a key role in "Deliverance", co-star Burt Reynolds remembered Coward from having worked with him in a Wild West show in Maggie Valley, NC. Coward -- who was not an actor and was toothless and illiterate -- arrived for his audition looking so perfect for the part of a rural mountain man that Boorman first thought Reynolds had prompted him on how to dress.
When director John Boorman explained to Coward that one of the things his character was going to do was to rape a man, Coward replied, "I've done worse."

Life is good in Appalachia, . . . 'specially with a good woman by one's side.

LOLLOLLOLLOL!

By the way, DD and Teechur, in my college days (University of Florida, 1970-1980), I walked the entire Appalachian Trail, in increments, I would usually do 100-200 miles every year. Beautiful!
