doomsday talk

while walking away from my bank today, the man walking towards the ATM was muttering "doomsday coming, doomsday coming, doomsday coming." I didnt stop to see if he was making a deposit or withdrawal. but inside the bank, there was a bank officer talking to those in line about a new 9 month CD rate.

and at Rincon this weekend, you can pick up your quarterly gift for diamond/7stars players either on Saturday or Sunday. Im still planning to go on Sunday. And I am paying my bills this week which arent due until May 30th.
If the Rapture hit Saturday, it won't matter if you paid your bills or not. If it doesn't hit, you'd have to pay them anyways.

My chiropractor has been telling me about May 21, 2011 for a couple years now. He said good bye to me last week. But, he still wrote down my appointment for May 31st. If it happens and I don't get into Heaven... well, then, there some things I will regret not doing.
I wonder if anybody is foolish and will gamble away a fortune or run up their credit cards with frivolous purchases?

Damnit, the world can't end! I won't allow it until AFTER I get married, and I still haven't found the right woman yet!!!

this was in the very sophisticated part of west Los Angeles near Santa Monica.. the recycling capital of the world where it is hoped that trees and clean air will last forever.

Actually poor old DonDiego does most of his financial chores on-line. He is a very with-it kind of guy, . . . a hep-cat. And computers are the cat's pajamas.

Besides DonDiego does not anticipate Doomsday this weekend anyway.
DonDiego places little faith in the Johnny-come-lately born-again Bible-thumpers predicting an imminent rapture. He chooses to embrace the ancient Mayan credenda with a basis in recognized cycles, . . . revealed through long-term detailed observations of the clear night skies above the Yucatan made from El Caracol at Chichén Itzá. Doomsday is over 19 months away.

DonDiego says: "Relax."

: : : : : EDITED TO ADD : : : : :

It may, in fact, not be mere coincidence that the Mayan end-of-time arrives on 21 December 2012.
DonDiego's own observations are that Government and Business leaders in the developed nations are doing their best to delay an inevitable worldwide financial catastrophe, . . . and especially many in the United States will endeavor gamely to delay collapse here until after November 6 2012, Election Day, . . . only 6 weeks before the world as the reader has known it ends.

According to this man the end is near.
