Dow Hit 14,000 Today

Just for a moment, maybe not again today, we'll see. But it hit 14,000 this morning, apparently on the strength of today's jobs report.

But it was the first time since October 17, 2007, over five years ago. Of course, within a year it was down 40 percent. Sure hope that doesn't happen again.

Still, good to take note of good news when it shows up, like it did today.
Dow finally returns to Bush era levels.

Or

Obama lifts Dow to highest levels in 5 years.

Take your pick.
I always get confused when it is announced that there are a certain number of new jobs created, but yet the unemployment rate goes up at the same time?

I'll bet you I can identify who on the boards will fall into each category. Down to the person.

And the GDP declined
I sorta remember what was said on these boards around January 21st, 2009.

"Dow will collapse to practically nothing"

"Interest Rates will soar to double digits"

and....... "Watch out for those death squads"

Whatever happened to those posters? Maybe they are just lurking now? Maybe they changed their name?
The Dow at 14000 is good news. Now if only the casino stocks would start to rise.
As Peter Schiff just said on CNBC, with cheap inflated dollars, the Fed's printing presses going full steam ahead keeping easy money flowing, and low interest rates, investors have no alternatives but to throw money at equities.
