Downtown Free Self-Parking

I'm not a valet person if you are that's great. What I'm looking for is free self parking Downtown. My go-to places were the Las Vegas Club garage and Binion's garage. All that was required was a validation stamp from inside the casino (usually from a self-serve machine). BUT I heard recently that these two places plus perhaps Main Street Station now charge for self park. Does anyone have any very recent experience with this. I'd be willing to park anywhere along/near Fremont St. from El Cortez to the Plaza or Main Street Station (preferably in a casino self park garage.) Is there any free parking left of this type downtown?

Main Street offers free for Sapphire and above players. The cage will validate others with a restaurant receipt above $10. Of course parking is also free for hotel guests. There may be other exceptions, etc. that I am not aware of.

Garage parking is free at the 4Queens if you are staying there. However, you can park there, take your ticket stub and stamp it free at the cashier cage in the casino. Remember to do it every couple of hours and your parking will be free!

I parked at the El Cortez last month for free without validation. I struggled to find non valet free parking and gave up and parked at Golden Nugget earlier that same day and paid $2.

I so miss my days of parking at the Golden Gate - easy in and out - haven't tried since they remodeled, but i'm assuming it's different. I park free with a validation at GN and free with a player's card at EC.

I was at the GN earlier this month and their validation process has changed. The time stamp machine is now at the players club and they have to validate it for you.

I was told that they would validate it this time without issue but in the future I would have to give them some play first on a players card before it would be free. They did not indicate how much.

For years I have used the valet at the Fremont, whether I was staying there or not. I have always found them to be very quick whether dropping off or returning my car. I find the Fremont is a great location when visiting downtown.

The Four Queens has changed it's parking policy to reduce or hopefully eliminate the street performers occupying valuable spaces for guests. Here is the info they provided on their Facebook page.

"Four Queens has changed its parking policy. As a convenience to our guests, you can now get your parking ticket validated at any of our great venues --- when you see a show, when you eat and/or drink at one of our great restaurants or bars and when you play, be sure to ask to have your parking ticket validated. If you are staying at our hotel, please show your Royal Club card at the front desk to get free parking. Parking charges will apply to all others."
