The DG is so totally screwing itself, I can't beleive they're reneging on the already earned free rooms. Those mean PLAYING customers. Simply unbeleivable.

Getting stingier with comps is a sign to run away from that casino and fast.
If they are doing that you can bet they've tightened their slots, have worse pay tables for VP, and have worked table payouts.

It's too bad too, cause I like the DG.

BTW, I would never pay a resort fee on a comped room, I'm a low roller and never have problem getting no resort fee comped rooms in Vegas.

I came across this article on another website. The article is recent with a 8/27/15 date. It explains about the casino enhancements and new gaming promotions.
I'm guessing the hotel itself must be doing ok. They're rooms are more expensive than other places downtown...and their resort fee is pretty big too. And now they are rescinding free room offers. So maybe they are having luck getting the place filled up.

I'll be there in November and check it out.

in Vegas there are so many choices on where to stay and play, and yet they go out of their way to make you NOT want to play or stay there. and not just the DG, most of them seem to do it these days. its like they see you coming with a pocket full of cash and they shut u out. weird. and no, I am not a high roller, but most high rollers wouldn't choose the DG anyway.
I received this offer in the mail on 9/23/15. I called to see if I could get a room on Nov 8, 2015 for two nights (Sunday & Monday), they said no rooms were available using the free comp rooms but I could get the casino rate of $29 per night plus $19 resort fee per night. I passed. Vegasdev did you get any other offers or anyone else get any offers?

edit: I'm beginning to feel like Charlie Brown as he goes to kick the football, Lucy pulls the ball back and Charlie Brown flips backwards.

that is similar to the offer I have. it was for sept/oct/nov . I have called a few times now and get the same crap, and the nerve to offer me a "casino rate" after pissing me off. what a miserable job the operator must have to keep telling people "no" all day long. are they trying to save those rooms just in case a bunch of whales show up at the last minute and want to stay and play downtown in downtown LV at a casino that hardly has any table games? dumbarses!!

HAHA, loved the Peanuts growing up. Charlie Brown ,Lucy and the football is such a great analogy on so many aspects of life sometimes.

My June,July and August( 2) night comps expired.
The mailer says "UP TO 2 NIGHTS".
If I get an invitation for November,I'll try to book it and report back.

The offer you got sure smells like bait and switch,jatki99!!!!!!!
What's wrong with this place? Who is in control?
