That resort fee really helped...
Put in some 97% slots, good VP and single deck BJ.

You would think that with all the remodeling going on downtown that the folks at the Vegas Club would wake up and smell the coffee and do some remodeling themselves.

I am afraid that they are going to die a slow death.

Actually I think the plan was for the owners to renovate the Plaza and after that upgrade the LVC. Since the plaza renovate was a fiasco they may have put the LVC renovations on hold. I doubt that they could have done enough to the LVC to "upscale" it so they can charge their resort fees.

I stayed at the LVC at the beginning of the year. They were actually doing some renovations, they changed out the carpets to the same ones at the plaza and they have removed the wall plates, I guess the plan at the time was to redo the wallpaper in the rooms. Not sure what happenned after that and if they actually completed the redo of the rooms in the LVC. Haven't heard from anyone else about LVC renovations.

IMO, all of the renovations at Plaza were due to the ultra-cheap purchase of stuff from Fontainbleu. If carpet at LVC was replaced, it's because there was extra carpet left over after Plaza was redone. Same with the wallpaper plans. From what I've seen and heard, Tamares Group doesn't really want to sink any real money into the properties, but instead just wait until the RE market turns around. Honestly, I walk through the LVC property every couple days and wonder why they're still open - Tamares must have deep pockets, because the place is always pretty empty.
Thanks Loyd.

Sell the place back to Jackie Gaughan.Even in his advanced years,he would turn the place around.
