Downtown trip

Which hotweks and food places do you recommend.

1. Hotel
2. Breaksafst
3. Dinner

thank you Kind readers.
Hotel: Golden Nugget. It's nice, clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. It's not so big that a new visitor can't find his way around.............with a little effort.

Breakfast: Du-Pars, Eat. Eat is the more creative of the two, yet both are great.

Dinner: Andiamo's Italian Steakhouse, Carson Kitchen. Andiamo's is expensive, with fantastic food and service. Carson Kitchen is wonderfully creative and unusual. Carson isn't cheap, but probably half the price of Andiamo's.

The members coupon book has a BOGO for rooms at the Cortez Their
Tower rooms are great.
I'm not a breakfast person but there is a coupon for dupars.
F o r a coffee shop dinner, the Four Queens. For something better, Binions Steakhouse.
Golden Nugget has the best rooms. Rush Tower provides strip-quality like rooms.

Eat is in a league of its own for breakfast. Actually one of the best breakfast places in all of Vegas.

Dinner really comes down to what you're craving. Andiamo and Vic and Anthony's for their prime steaks, Hugo's Cellar for setting (salad made table side, great presentation on martinis, B+ main dishes). Second Street Grille is under rated. I haven't made it to Carson Kitchen or Binion's Steakhouse. The Flame with a coupon is worth a play.

The
Flame is no more.
Hotel- Downtown Grand A short walk from Fremont Experience and a little more quiet. Very modern updates and very nice rooms.
Breakfast- Dupars
Dinner - Pizza Rock or 777 Brew Pub
Plenty of great street food downtown for lunch....Binion's Deli, Pizza Rock, taco place across from The D.
The new El Cortez Diner has 50's style fountain drinks and shakes.

Mermaid's new deep fried specialty is the PB&J pockets you get at the store....they look like Perogies.
Hugos is fantastic for a'romantic dinner, but I find it too dark to read the menu.
Downtown runs the entire spectrum of choices.

Would you prefer a $100 dinner or three $35 dinners?
Don't forget to explore'Fremont East.,especially the new
Container Park.
One nice thing about eating downtown is the lower prices when compared to The Strip. For comparable restaurant food and atmosphere, you will pay 30-40% less Downtown.
I'll second Carson Kitchen. I have now been twice. My only complaint was that the bacon jam and my burger were so piping hot that I slightly burned my mouth and tongue. The remedy to that is let it cool for a few minutes.
