drinking other people's drinks?

What are the health risks of drinking other people's abandoned drinks? What are the specific sanitation risks? Wouldn't the alcohol kill germs and stuff?

Do you mean: 1) from people you know that can't finish their drink, or 2) just picking up a drink left by the side of the slot machine.
Option 1 - go for it, if they offer it
Option 2 - ew. Why? Under what circumstance would you ever want to to do this?

Both. But I was mostly referring to Option 2. Whether left on side of a slot machine, or at a bar or restaurant, etc. They've paid for them.

Just discretely pour it into your flask. Then you lips don't have to come into direct contact with the virus on the glass. Better yet, just carry and use your own personal straw. Draw it down from the bottom where there's fewer germs.

You can also find half smoked cigs in the ashtrays. Find and drain two or three of them, roll up the remaining tobacco in a fresh zig zag and you can almost eliminate your tobacco budget.
