drmilled Jetblue is now charging bag fees

According to JetBlue's official website certain higher level member card holders can escape the dreaded bag fees but lowly infrequent flyers such as myself will be assessed at least $20/$25 per bag extra. All these extra fees makes my head want to explode too (lol).
surf87- and that is why I only fly Southwest.
Commercial air travel absolutely sucks.
Alaska Air is $20-$25 for extra baggage on some flights, too.
Any way to make more money to please the stock holders.

I have always wanted to fly Jet Blue, too.

Southwest is "Grab a seat, any seat!"

MOO! I feel like it's a cattle call.
Maybe sheep.

Southwest is my first choice to fly because of price and customer service.

But if I find another airline with a cheaper overall cost, even with baggage fees, naturally I will book that. I abandoned SW for USAirways for a business trip to Baltimore in March. I did fly SW home.
Mushy proves my point again. Airlines selling on price wins every time vs airlines selling comfort. I will always take the cheap ticket vs comfort, and so will 99% of those complaining about a lack of comfort and frills.
For years the government has baled out airlines during very lean periods. Who is the government I guess it is yourself and others just like all of us. Airlines are making more money now than ever before and what are they doing sticking right to the people that baled them out for so many years. Baggage fees are just like resort fees and if only one airline is not charging now it will only be a matter of time before that comes to a halt. It goes right back to the old saying "WHATEVER THE TRAFFIC WILL ALLLOW." Right now the airline that we avoid is American I thought USAIR was the worst well American is just a tad ahead of them and then merged. Things can only get worst....
The government provided no airline bailouts. Many airlines filed for bankruptcy, negotiated down their debt with the banks, negotiated down their labor contracts, and then moved on. There was no government money involved.
