Du-pars downtown Las Vegas Closing

Du-Pars closing

Wow this sad. Always thought it had decent food.
Double Wow!
I think you inadvertently nailed it when you said "decent food." I agree with that asssessment having eaten there two or three times. Pretty decent pancakes and pie. Decent food makes the cut in Dubuque, Iowa. In Vegas, you can't survive with decent. Too many awesome choices as an alternative.

Only been there a few times but it was always very crowded when I was there.

What, people in Dubuque don't know good food? What do you know about the fine people of Dubuque to go around disparaging them like that?

Dennys is slammed too despite being surrounded on the strip by Bouchon, Mon Ami Gabi, Payard, Henry, etc.

Dupars used to be one of the best breakfast places, but it was passed by in recent years in a highly competitive environment. Still sorry to see it close and loss of jobs.

Dubuque. Gila Bend. Clarksville. Take your choice. Some towns are less subject to ever-changing market conditions.
Overpriced would be the adjective that best described it. The fresh squeezed oj was the best thing there.
I hate to see it go. but there are plenty of places in vegas that do survive with even less than decent food. vegas has a never ending flow of tourists and the diners don't always have to rely on repeat customers. Du-Pars must be focusing all of their attention and money on their new location.
Not my favorite place to eat. Overpriced and I found the service a bit inattentive.
I think it might have been a bit too old fashioned for the new owners vision of Fremont.
They opened during that period when hotels were replacing coffee shops with outside vendors. I checked the menu online and thought they better have great food at those prices. Too many hotel coffee shop options nearby. Curious to see what replaces it.

Good Luck!

I vote for one a them Peruvian/Korean Waffle Fusion joints.
