Yep and someone labeled them as having America's Best Pancakes and yes we're talking pancakes. I guess this rating gave them the right to price their food too high.

My go to place? Foodie Town, USA
I loved the classic vibe. I hate to see it go.....
Greetings from Dubuque (by way of Pasadena, California)

There are plenty of low price bulk carb food places in this state- perhaps related to our being an agricultural area with the usual collection of national chains.
There are also some decent restaurants serving quality food in a more upscale setting. Boyd has a casino here and the steak house (Woodfire Grille) is quite good.

I too am sorry to see Dupars leave although i still miss the deli that used to be in the back of the casino.

Cheers,

Paul
When they replaced the deli they lost my business...

I wonder if they'll keep the shrimp cocktail station as a stand-alone operation. It was 49 cents when I first had one over 40-years-ago.
Went there once, last year. Wasn't impressed. I'm sure it had it's day. But, to be fair, I'm not a pancake guy anyway. Gimmie bacon or biscuits and gravy
