No. Trust the government. It is perfect.

If the government decides, after a trial, that a person should die, that person should die.

Don't trust it for anything else, mind you. That would be crazy.

But trust it to decide which of us must die.

My point was to FIRST make sure we're killing the right people for the right reasons. If we can't do that we shouldn't be in the execution business.

AFTER THAT'S GUARANTEED, THEN make it FAST, CHEAP and PAINLESS. And of course the decision as to who is sentenced to death is not a nameless faceless pollitt bureau. It should be a jury of our peers limited to a proof of guilt beyond any doubt.

In my book, murderer and WMD user Tsarnaev has forfeited his right to life. I sympathize with his victims who will never breath another breath...I do not pity the murderer.

And I certainly don't 'trust the government to decide which of us must die'. That's why I first stated my objections to the Death Penalty which included references to bumbling bureaucrats. I do think the whole process can be fixed with some serious work on how to guarantee we only convict the guilty of a capital crime.....But until it is, there are likely innocent people on death rows throughout the country....which is not acceptable.

I submit that Alanleroy also believes that innocent folks in jail is also unacceptable. Since there will never be a perfect system, we will always have some innocent folks in jail.

Of course there are innocent people in jail. The difference between a guy serving time and a guy on death row is that death is permanent. We've got to have a system that cannot kill the wrong person as punishment. There are ways to do that. We'll sentence far fewer people to death. They will be executed much quicker though. I'm ok with that.

Now that everyone has chimed in on rights and the possibility of killing the wrong person, why don't the same folks move the discussion over to abortion rights? And killing the wrong person, and who is making the life and death decisions etc.
Only certain folks have rights, in the mind of some.

Swift justice.
Nothing civilized like that pesky Eighth Amendment.
Male dominated.
Not a lot of social pressure to shave well.

It's clearly perfect for you.

Shame your moms finally dropped you on American soil and you can't scratch up a one-way ticket.

Maybe Kickstarter?

BWAAHAHAHAHAHA!! God one Boiler!

Why yes. I think we can solve the issue of when a fetus becomes a human life and when it is moral to terminate a pregnancy on this very thread. And since you brought it up, you start. Let's hear your argument.

We can nickname him "Johnny Bench" since he's going to be quite a "catcher".

By my math, that works out to (72 x 180 =) 12,960 virgins. He's going to be busy...

And with names like Bob, Jim, Fred, Bubba, Nick, Al, Steve......

If they don't execute this murderer, then put him in the regular population at whatever prison he is sent. The prisoners will handle his punishment, just like Jeffry Dahmers was ...
