E-Z Rental Experiences?

Anyone here have experience using E-Z car rental agency? What are they like?

There is discussion of this in the transportation forum. I have used them twice and got very clean, low mileage quality vehicles. NO SMOKING will appeal to many and check in is very fast. There was some BS about not dealing with 3rd party insurance which I ignored, but their policies are stated on their website.
I had a short wait one of the times but the paperwork was completed in about 1/3 the time that Payless consumes. Note that they will only hold the vehicle 1 hour over, but maybe that's justified if they really are holding what you requested. But you can change the details of the rental with no rate change, so you just need to call in if you are delayed. Or just do more than one rental at spaced intervals. My last rental was a Hyundai Accent, and, granted, it was a base model, but it was a rocket ship.....right down my alley.

Sorry have never used them...I usually go with one of the more common names like enterprise or hertz etc.....sorry I can't be of more help...

They also try the hard sell for their insurance etc., but sad to say that is pretty common anymore at any rental place where you do not have a pre filled profile like you can get with Dollar Express. I've just learned to say no to the add ons and hope that I don't have to raise the volume of my voice if they make the mistake of pushing this a second time.

Right. Dollar used to be the ticket until the "instant upgrade" got phased out. I got caught in a dent scam there, but fortunately had saved my slip.

Fox is the cheapest now. Last time there, the agent wanted me to double my rate to bump up one car grade. Duh, why did she think I used Fox in the first place? I love bus rides?
