early morning coffee

Slap me silly and call me Susan, but isn't there a 24 hour cafe in quite a few of those casinos on the strip? Or does someone just stay downtown or off strip to get that perk?

hi max3cats - i see your post count is low so this is why you thought asking a simple question would get you a simple answer. however this is the las vegas advisor board where you first need to ask the question, then second predict the answers and finally, try to counter them and then maybe you will (sometimes not) get the information you are looking for.

as stated in this thread, harrahs has a starbucks (three to be exact) but none are open at 5:30 am, which is what you asked.

neither is the coffee cart at flamingo or the barbary coast. which i assume you also knew, which probably prompted your question to begin wtih.

if you are like me and at 5:30 am you are searching for a simple way to buy coffee, as you clearly stated, you may not want to sit down at a bar or go to a coffee shop and eat. i would never want to sit at a machine and wait for a cocktail server, i want to buy my coffee now. i only drink iced, blah blah blah, why do i have to explain this just to get a simple answer to my question?

the answer is: you cant without walking a bit.

im an iced coffee addict and i MUST MUST MUST have iced coffee first thing before anything. when i stay at the imperial palace, i walk over to the mcdonalds next to harrahs, its the closest place.

for the flamingo, id probably do the same, or maybe you could walk to the 24 hour starbucks at the westin, kind of a hike and you dont get the "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" of having the early am strip to yourself.

i dont know why there isnt a 24 hour starbucks in any of the strip hotels other than planet hollywood. or maybe there is and i am just unaware. id ask the board for the location of one, but id probably get answers telling me that caffiene is bad and i should switch to herbal tea.

Don't most hotel rooms have coffe makers? Just byoc.

That depends upon where you stay. I didn't get that perk until I stayed at 4 queens.

You seem to get what I'm talking about. Most carts and coffee places seem to open at 6:30 or later. McDondalds seems to be the only option.

If you are in a go room at the flamingo u get a coffee maker in the room.

This is the best suggestion. If you exit the Flamingo where the Valet Parking is, you can just walk east to the little connector street then south to Flamingo and then east again to the Westin. It's a 10 minute walk.

at 5:30 in the morning, that's a 5 minute walk.

My room at Caesars has a Kuerig and my room at Orleans has a coffee maker. Coffee included with $6 resort fee at Orleans. K-cups 4 for $10 at Caesars.

That would be an expensive cup of coffee if you are stay at Flamingo.
