Let's say you have a big dogs that leaves massive loads in the neighborhood, and you're not always there to clean them up. You could:
1. Get rid of the dogs. (Roulette Man's solution for Gore.)
2. Brag that the massive loads are no problem and actually smell nice. (Roulette Man's solution for himself.)
3. Pay a neighborhood kid to clean up after your dogs AND to clean up after other dogs too. (Gore's solution.)
That's how offsets work. There, Roulette Man, now you can say you learned something today.
