ebokRedirected

I've been redirected to different ad sites several times tonight, I don't know if it's my new completely POS new windows 8.1 computer or LVA gfot hacked.
I swearyou buy a brand new computer thinking lighting fast, no more trouble and my old ebay 50 dollar PC works better than this POS. I can work around the 8.1, but from the day I got it, pop ups galore, all kinds of virus protections, "warning:disk space low!" and bonus, carckle.com kept coming on which was showing old allin the family episodes( I have to say, they started out with my all time favorite, Archies opinion on gun control, to prevent hijackers.."just pass out the pistols, give everybody one, that'll do it..").

I've gone to settings and tried to uninstall everything and start from scratch, won't let me, just spins. I have nothing I need to keep on this computer. F'n thing won't even recognize my phone, tablet or a brand new digi cam...F'n POS.
I did buy the extra warranty so maybe that will actually pay off this time. Or do any of you computer gurus have any suggestions what to do? I would really, really appreciate it.It certainly seems someone owned this before me.
It sounds like you've got a virus or a rootkit. I'd reinstall windows....or at least run something like malwarebytes to try to clean it.
AL is right, the problem is on your end.

All I know is...reboot.

Call Geek Squad.

I've tried to reinstall windows, wipe the slate clean, nothing. Sits and spins all night. I bought the extra warranty plan, I think I'm gonna take it back soon.

Funny, on Alans post suggesting malwarebytes(which I can't even see til I hover on it) and then on Snidelys post, it's a friggin ad about my credit score. I'm so pissed off. I'll try the malware bytes.
Get a Macbook air or if you want to go cheap a chrome book and it will make it a lot less likely you get those kind of problems.

Cheap is what I want, I don't really do anything on my computer. No big demands at all.Doing internet work is really the only thing about it.

Chromebook...hmm, I'll check into it. I don't like apple or it's products..well, justApple really.

Why buy something new when you can return the one you've got and either get a new one for free or have them fix the one you've got? You shouldn't buy anything on-line until you get it fixed though.
