The ebola crisis (or a reasonable facsimile) isn't likely to resurface until the next election.

Has anyone heard an update on this?

"Leaders of Ebola-hit countries in west Africa will attend an international conference in Brussels Tuesday [March 3] to mobilise a final push to end the outbreak and ensure the delivery of nearly $5 billion in aid pledges.
More than 9,500 people have died of the disease since the west African epidemic emerged in southern Guinea in December 2013.
[UN Ebola envoy David] Nabarro said the number of new cases had declined from around 900 a week to 100, but that cases appeared to be climbing back up in the coastal regions of Sierra Leone and Guinea.
Officials from the European Union, China, the United States, Cuba and Australia will be in Brussels alongside the United Nations, the World Bank and other international organisations trying to wipe out the disease in west Africa."

"Liberia's president on Tuesday [March 3] called for an international aid plan to help rebuild economies in West Africa once Ebola is under control.
She said that 'the most important long-term response to Ebola rests on plans and strategies for economic recovery,' adding that 'this will require significant resources, perhaps even a Marshall Plan.' "

Boiler believes that DonDiego is being insensitive with his use of the word "retard". Liberal students at Stanford, University of Missouri, and Emery are likely to become horrified and require intensive emotional counseling.

DonDiego finds himself situated in the appropriate demographic for himself - the 20% White, male, post-Graduate, upper-middle class - which is, in fact, the least "worried" about catching ebola. Nonetheless, he favors travel restrictions as indicated above, . . . just so's he can remain among the unworried.

DonDiego finds the repetitive Government statements that he should not be concerned about Ebola getting into America, . . . or, if it were to get in, not to worry about Ebola being transmitted within America less than convincing, . . . especially since it did get in and it has been transmitted.
Instead, DonDiego suggests the Government stick to facts and/or the truth and take some steps to retard Ebola arriving/spreading.

Oh, and in addition to restricting travel to/from West Africa, . . . DonDiego suggests the potential of disease transmission might be retarded by a more secure Southern Border.
Why, . . . if'n poor old DonDiego was one o' them there Islamistical Terrorists he'd be looking' at getting' some o' that E-bola cross the border. If'n he was real dedicated he might even infect hisself and walk right into McAllen, Texas or El Paso an' hobnob with the locals 'til he took sick, . . . and them too. If'n he was less dedicated he might just box up some o' them there fruit bats in Africa a-carryon' E-bola, and take 'em 'cross the Atlantic, and release 'em along the border; there's millions [billions?] of fruit bats all over the American Southwest/Mexican border Counties liven' in caves and such, . . . and they's always happy to bite, say, beef cattle or household pets or even just plain old folks.
Psst, . . . DonDiego recommends the reader not pass these idle ruminations along to any Muslim friends, . . . jes' in case.
