EDC 2016

Hello fellow members. I would like to start a discussion on EDC Las Vegas 2016. EDC is approaching. All the guys attending EDC 2016 can share their views here. I have already booked at Downtown Grand for the event.

Poor old DonDiego was unfamiliar with the EDC Las Vegas, so he looked it up online:

DonDiego is still not familiar with the Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas but, in any case, it looks way too strenuous for poor old DonDiego so he must send his regrets that he will not be attending. Oh, and he is certain that he will have business he must attend to elsewhere on those dates.

I've marked my calendar to stay away from Vegas during that time frame. Thanks for the alert. I've had the misfortune to be in Vegas twice while the EDC was underway. If you like screaming and hollering in your hotel hallway at 3 or 4 A.M., a shortage of cabs and crowded streets with zombie like people, I highly recommend planning a visit at that time.

Ditto that! Glad to know the dates so I can avoid spending airfare dollars only to be thusly inconvenienced.

Caveat: Happy for those who enjoy the crowds and chaos.

I went to the Elderly Dominatrix Convention one year. I was a little underwhelmed. I asked for my money back but then some old broad kicked the shit out of me.

I think some of those people at EDC are on drugs.

Hmm, . . . poor old DonDiego's dismissal of attending may have been premature; he shall reconsider.

Darn. I'm going to miss it by a couple of weeks.

Stay away from it. I booked a Luxor Tower room with a friend a couple of years ago. For the first time ever, I had to sign a promise that while I stayed at their hotel I would not give alcohol to any minors. There were kids carrying 1.75 liter bottles of vodka freely about. I probably had a room of 8 to 10 people rooming in the room next to me.

I got a hair cut while I was up there and my stylist said that if you are 24 or 25 you are probably too old for EDC.

Oh one last thing.

At least one person dies every year from alcohol poisoning. The weekend I was up there, there were two deaths related to alcohol poisoning and one person who was sitting on a railing at the Cosmo, got smashed and fell off.
