Election 2016 - Tax Plan Calculator

So, here's a quick calculator to assist the interested voter as to how the announced tax plans for the 2 top Democrats and 2 top Republicans would affect one's Federal Income Tax.

VOX Tax Calculator

Apparently:

__Senator Cruz and Mr. Trump would both lower poor old DonDiego's tax burden. (DonDiego doubts that these tax plans would ever go into full effect, but he likes the direction.)

__The Hillary's plan would raise DonDiego's taxes, . . . but just a smidgen. (Given that The Hillary is an habitual liar, especially when making campaign promises, DonDiego supposes his taxes would, in fact, rise significantly if she were elected.)

__Senator Sanders would raise DonDiego's taxes even higher than Senator Cruz and Mr. Trump would lower them. (Given that Senator Sanders is an avowed Socialist it does not surprise DonDiego that he would raise taxes to redistribute income; that is what Socialists do.)

So, in his own best interest DonDiego:
__ cannot vote for the Socialist.
__ cannot vote for The Habitual Liar
__ is presently uncomfortable voting for anyone else likely to be a major party candidate.

What to do? What to do?

Maybe poor old DonDiego will have to abstain or vote for someone like the Libertarian Party candidate, if he's on the ballot up heh' in Appalachia. Or maybe convince himself to vote for whomever is most likely to beat The Hillary, as she will be the Democrat Nominee regardless of whatever primary voters vote.

DonDiego trusts he can rely on alanleroyII to keep him apprised of Mrs' alanleroyII's plans.

Really? How about The Biggest Lie in the World Ever! You know, Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi!?

In the eleven hour House hearings, I'm sure someone must have cornered Hillary on her lying ways, right? You got any examples? The transcripts are all online, DD, so for it.
Why does everyone think that a brokered/contested convention will be a horrible thing for the republicans? DD you and many other people might get a new candidate that you could actually vote for, not Trump, Cruz or Kasich. Contested conventions have happened before. FDR, Harding, Garfield, Hayes..... Garfield wasn't a candidate entering the convention but gave a nominating speech. He was elected Prez out of nowhere. Unfortunately he was dead 6 months later.

There was supposed to be some kind of greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base. There was no greeting ceremony and we were basically told to run to our cars. Now that is what happened."

Oh fudge ! DonDiego has just spent 5 minutes Googling Hillary's Lies, . . . and that's time he'll never get back. Anyway, here's some more, . . . and then I'm done:

DonDiego does not think that a brokered convention is a horrible thing. ecomstoc is correct. It could result in a candidate for whom DonDiego would vote.
donny jim reckons this by filling out a three question survey. I wonder how many pages his tax return was this year. I know mine was a lot more than three questions.
Simple solutions for simple minds.
Hillary's policy.................Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

One should not be too surprised that the more Conservative candidates would prefer to reign-in Government and lower taxes.
And that the Socialist candidate's preference to enlarge Government and redistribute income would raise taxes.
And that The Hillary would end up campaigning as though she would not raise taxes much at all, . . . because that's what The Hillary would say in any case.

Just as billryan, DonDiego opines the 3-questions would likely not be sufficient for him or anyone else to fill out their Federal Tax Forms after the upcoming election.
[One clue to this thought is that poor old DonDiego did not quote the numerical results of the Calculator to his personal income. Instead he employed terms like "lower" and "raise" and "smidgen" and "even higher".]

But filling out one's tax forms is not the purpose of the three question survey. The purpose is to provide a quick estimate of the relative differences in one's tax-bill which might result from election of each of the 4 candidates aspiring to the Presidency.

DonDiego is quite disappointed in billryan's unhelpful response.

Except that's not what she said:

Reality: "Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet."

Dishonest DonDiego should stop doing that.

The "habitual liar" DonDiego references is infinitely more responsible (and honest!) about the effects of taxes and deficts than any of her GOP rivals:

Hillary Clinton's tax plan reduces the deficit
"The Tax Policy Center estimates that the proposals she's put forth so far would reduce deficits in the first decade by $1.1 trillion and by another $2.1 trillion in the next decade. "

Ted Cruz adds 20 trillion to the debt over the next 2 decades.
"The Tax Policy Center estimates that his plan would add at least $8.6 trillion to deficits over the first decade, and by more than $12 trillion in the second decade. "

Donald trump adds just as much as ted Cruz....unless Mexico pays for it.
"Of course, reducing taxes comes at a cost. An analysis of Trump’s tax plan by the Tax Policy Center found his tax cuts would result in a federal deficit of $9.5 trillion in the next decade. That’s a significant increase from the projected 2016 federal deficit of $544 billion."

* * * Of course, you can offset the trillion dollar hole created by Republican tax proposals by making massive cuts to government spending. SO far both Republican candidates promise to massively increase military spending, massively increase the number of border agents, and build a 2000 mile wall along our Mexico border...not to mention more aggressive actions in the Middle East. (Quick note - that's more spending, not less). But at least they wont be "leading from behind".

.... on the bright side the GOP candidates promise to reign in the other government spending to make up for it. They have not articulated the specifics. I believe Mitt Romney promised to cut funding to PBS. Hey, its a start! My understanding is Bobby Jindal's term has completed in Loisianna. Perhaps he can serve as an advisor to show how he made the numbers work using a similar formula.
