Energy Factor bracelets

Anyone have one? I got the purple one as a gift.
It is supposed to give extra energy and flexibility.

I have been wearing it for a couPle of days and the only difference I have noticed is a metallic taste.
I have a Phiten. Placebo affect, baby.
I have one, a "Power Band". Got it through a "promo" for free, and that is, IMHO, all that it's worth. (I'd received a $10.00 credit for signing up on a "daily deal" site, and the majority of items had terms that do not allow the use of the credit for signup to purchase that item. When they had this, I used my free credit. (I have since unsubscribed from the site. I did not receive the two gift cards I purchased after 60 days, with multiple lies from their customer service, and finally chose to go through PayPal's "dispute process" to get my money back. That took about 1 week! )

Anyway, I tried it for a few days, and found it annoying and uncomfortable on my wrist. I definitely would not reccomend it, and would discourage others from purchasing one, regardless of price. Yet, there is one "old man" I occasionally play poker with who wears one on each wrist, and swears by them.

The "FAQ's" (from their self serving website PR) on the Power Band:

Quote

a: How do the power bands work?

Power Bands produce a high amount of negative ions. Negative ions are produced by natural sunlight and are present in cleaner air. They are important because they help neutralize the harmful effects of positive ions in your body. Many of the electronics you use in your daily life pollute your environment with positive ions which can be harmful to your body. Too many positive ions interfere with our natural electrical balance and slow down blood circulation. This can often make you feel tired and unbalanced. The power bands work to counteract this effect with the release of negative ions.

2: Are they safe?

Power bands are a safe and natural form of therapy.

3: Are there any side effects to wearing these bands?

No significant side effects with these bands have been observed. A very small amount of users may experience very mild temporary symptoms such as light-headedness, tingling or increased thirst. If you experience these symptoms, try removing the band and wearing it at a slowly increasing rate.

4: Do power bands work on everyone?

Studies show that power bands work on the majority of people who use them. However, results are different for each person.

Hope this helps.

Hey, wear your Phiten to Hard Rock's pool. You'll fit right in to the D Bag Crowd.

Hot chicks will think you're cool.

LOL

Toss it in the trash and move on.

DonDiego is unlikely to purchase an "Energy Factor Bracelet". He prefers old-fashioned, time-tested methods of improving his health to any new-fangled "modern" devilment.

When he needs just a bit of extra energy and flexibility he puts on his Giant Power Heidelberg Electric Belt:

And when DonDiego suffers discomfort, . . . umm, . . . down-below, he always has his old reliable RectoRotor to get him through the day:

And if poor old DonDiego is suffering just too much pain or mental anguish, . . . he reaches way back into the deepest recesses of his medicine cabinet for these stand-bys:

They are a joke, do as Blade mentioned and toss it in the trash cylinder!
I don't even think the "American Pickers" would make an offer for the RECTOROTOR. Least I hope not.

I'm willing to wager that there are several forum users (Both genders) on several Las Vegas Forums, who would bid on one if it came up at an estate auction, was in good - excellent condition, and perhaps had the original box. For some reason, if it was "old and rusty", I doubt anyone would be interested in buying and restoring it. But there is no accounting for peoples taste.

I visited hundreds if not thousands of "garage - estate sales, estate auctions, flea markets, etc " in the late 90's when I was very active selling on eBAY. I've seen, purchased, and sold some unusual "things". And been outbid on some very weird and unusual stuff as well.

Don't underestimate the worth of something to a collector. The difficulty is in finding a buyer with cash. LOL
