well RECTOROTOR certainly can't be held resposible for false advertizing when they state ..................... "In a Class By Itself"

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY !!!!

Rick

Seems like there are "clinics" for everything these days. Now, one can open their own constipation clinic. Maybe DD already has ...

Late Friday, while clearing the clutter and accumulated unfinished "stuff" from my desk in preperation for a "clean" start in 2012, I "found" my Power band. As previously mentioned, I had stopped wearing it after deciding there were no noticeable "benefits" gained from having worn it for a couple days after receiving it back in November.

This thread made me consider that I had not given the Power Band and the negative-positive Ions thing a truly fair and impartial "trial". I had not been scientific in my approach, nor unbiased. I scoffed at the "FAQ's", and did not believe the claims.

So I decided to wear it for awhile, and to truly observe any differences in my energy and/or body. I even prepared to "log" any changes, the same way as when the doctor changes a prescription or puts one onto a new regimen.

I badly shattered my left wrist (18 breaks & fractures, 5 days in hospital, almost 90 days with an "external fixator", 3 "procedures", 2 pins, 9 months of 3x week therapy) back in '06. The original prognosis I received from the Emergency Room Dr was "that's about as bad as it gets" (I call it Phamtom Pain and mostly have learned to cope without the need for any medication.)

I seem to always be aware of the area of my left wrist. I have 90%+ movement, and do not consider it disabled, although I do have some "funny" nerves in the area, and it often "hurts". I very rarely take any paid medication, and believe my "wrist pain" in phamtom pain, similar to an amputee who's missing limb "hurts".

So I decided to once again begin wearing the Power Band on my left wrist.

The results so far..... Much too soon to say, or suggest any noticeable improvements or benefits. I do intend to give this a fair and impartial trial.

After all, there are many therapies that "work" for various "ailments", that don't seem to have a clear scientific or biological explanation. But they seem to work without harm.

I've seen and experieced how "Accupressure" works, for some people, to resolve tooth pain, sea/motion sickness, or nausea.

I'll be back in several days, perhaps longer, or sooner, with the "results" of my unscientific experiment.

I figure it can't permantly "hurt", so why not try.

Good luck with that, RoadTrip.

My dad was a poster boy for motion sickness. In earlier times they landed planes to put him off, he would get so sick. This of course was in the pre-Scopolamine patch era. He couldn't go deep sea fishing or much of anything on water, he would get so sick.

When the Scop patches came along he used them with pretty good results.

Fast forward to the invention of the accupressure bracelet. He wore it and swore by it. Didn't need the patches anymore. The thing looked hokey to me. It didn't seem that snug on his wrist. For him it worked. Once they were in Greece and took a day bus tour somewhere that was hilly. He had left the bracelet at their hotel, and he got car (bus) sick. All other events on that trip he did fine if he wore the bracelet. Was it all in the mind? I wouldn't believe that story if it were about someone else, but I know how easily he would get motion sickness, and it seemed a miracle that this cheap looking bracelet would be effective on him.

I'm quite familiar with the Accupressure Bracelets. Back in the early 80's (?) I first encountered them. Was working on cruise ship poker rooms, and ended up acquiring a couple dozen sets. I sold most of them for a "ridiculous" amount to "ill" passengers, and investigated acquiring "rights" in the USA to no avail. I even researched and found the FDA would never, ever "approve" them, (That ruled out Gynocologic sales), and went so far as to find someone to manufacture them without regard for copyrights, etc. Finally decided I did not want the hassles, and potential legal implications for something that I felt could not be "properly" marketed.

They work quite well in eliminating motion sickness. Also morning sickness for pregnant women. Practically any nausea.

Probably because of those accupressure bands/bracelets is the reason I decided to try this Negative ION Powerband again, and to give it a fair chance.

So far, nothing to note after about 13 hours of use.

I'm pretty skeptical, so perhaps I'm not quite the right person for this. We'll see.

I read up about these things. They go up your pooper and eject a white creamy substance. I've seen other examples of this in movies they don't show in movie theaters (anymore).
