Eric Garner

While I am 110% on board with the ferguson decision, I'm totally not on board with the decision not to bring some sort of charges up on eric garner amongst others. Garner for the choke hold and others who did nothing while the guy laid there and died.

As one who's a big fan of breathing and I'm not saying that facetiously. I spent six months on a ventilator(anybody familialr knows how hard it is to be weened of off) and two weeks ago went into the ER and found out I had pneumonia and was SAT @75 struggling to breath, IT SUCKS WHEN YOU CAN"T BREATH! This guy died a horrible death and there really wasn't any reason for it. And all over peddling cigarettes!? get the F outta here! Unbelievable.

Somebody dropped the ball on this one , big time.

If he couldn't breathe how was he able to say he couldn't breathe?

Not mentioned in the media, the supervising sgt at the scene was black

He didn't die for selling cigarettes, but instead for resisting arrest.

Eric Garner is the one who died. I understand the point you are trying to make, but by making it in this way, you appear very ignorant. As usual.

What an odd coincidence. Hoops pathetic explanation is exactly what the paid shills on Faux & Friends were saying this morning !

I guess next Hoops is going to tell us he's a professional in the medical field and knows all about being able to say "I can't breathe" and still breathe freely at the same time.....whilst having somebody choke you to death.


And I just seen a 6+ minute video on CNN. A 2nd camera angle, with sound, taken from inside the storefront.....approx. 6 feet away from the incident. The police (many, many of them) left his lifeless body lay on the sidewalk for over 5 minutes, with no efforts at CPR. Even when the medics arrived, no attempt was made at CPR. The video ended when they picked Mr. Garner's lifeless body up to place him on a stretcher. At no time during this entire 6+ minute video was there any attempt by the police or medics to administer CPR. 1 female medic did attempt to take his pulse. That was it.

Just plain murder is what I seen on that video.

I think you get the point, I believe everyone does. That's another thing, he was outnumbered like 5-1? or something. and yes, you can speak w/o getting new air(or sufficient air, which is even worse) Trust me, it was a horrible way to go, but that;s really all beside the point. A guy died by unnecessary force for selling cigs, bottom line. That they all stood around and didn't provide any assistance while the guy died is even worse.

Oh, whoever mentioned the black cop, I didn't know that and I could care less. I never once mentioned anything about race cause it's not about race here, it's about some overzealous cops who went too far.

I've not spent time examining the evidence, so I'm not arguing that the police officer(s) should not be prosecuted. I don't know. That being said, Garner got in a scuffle because he resisted arrest, not because he sold cigarettes.

From the little that I've seen, I'm surprised that the cop(s) were't prosecuted

I've not spent time examining the evidence, so I'm not arguing that the police officer(s) shouldn't be prosecuted. That being said, Garner got in a scuffle because he resisted arrest, not because he sold cigarettes. If a guy jaywalks and then punches the cop, he gets "tased" for punching the cop, not for jaywalking.

From the little that I've seen, I'm surprised and disappointed that the cop(s) were't prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter.
