Ever Gone Through Bankroll Real Early?

I am tempted to bust my budget everyyear on my annual trip . My saving grace is my brother . He would ask me how I am doing and he would tell me to take it easy . He would spring for dinner at the buffet so I don't cut into the next day 's budget.
I am only doing $300 a day . On my last day i might hit the ATM after a call to the wife with the sob story of how my luck has been. She would tell me to hit the ATM for a couple hundred. We always have a good understanding about the gambling I am doing.
She is surprised I have never won. I am not. LOL
You've got a serious problem if you've even come close to being stranded or broke in Vegas.
Count me in as a problem child as I have yet to be stranded in Vegas.
I shot my wad in less than 24 hours in Vegas one time out of about 100 trips I've made to sin city through the years. It was a short trip, about 54 hours in town during Halloween weekend 2009. I had never stayed at the Golden Gate, and I thought a room overlooking Fremont Street for Halloween would be pretty cool. The room and people watching from it were as I expected - pretty entertaining....but every ounce of luck was sitting on my desk at home, because none of it was with me for that trip.

I couldn't win at anything. My $900 bank roll was down to $40 by 11:00 the morning after I checked in. I was playing low limit table games and quarter VP and couldn't get ahead no matter what game I played. I was not a happy camper! But I made the best of the situation. I explored sections of Fremont Street that I had never explored before, and spent quite a bit of time watching the spray can artists under the FSE canopy do their thing. Those guys are amazing! One thing I noticed rather quickly was there are no places to sit down and take a load off your feet under the canopy. I suppose that's by design to reduce vagrants camping out day and night, but standing and/or walking all day just doesn't agree with my feet or back.

I can't help but feel that that experience was sort of a karma balancing thing for me because the two trips I made back to Vegas since that one have resulted in winning the first night I was in town, including hitting a progressive royal flush on a quarter machine at the South Point less than half-an-hour after checking into the hotel, and tripling my bankroll at the Riviera within 3 hours after checking in there. I hope that trend continues as I'll be back at the Riviera Wednesday night!

Yep, I've blown it all too quickly....on my Fall 2007 visit that will forever be known as the "Trip From Hell."

Booked four nights in Vegas as my reward for finishing chemo successfully. Maybe it was the "chemo brain," maybe it was just plain stupidity, but I ran through my entire 2k bankroll in just under 48 hours. I couldn't seem to hit anything, even when I stuck with games that I have a knowledge of strategy. It sucked.

What sucked even more was the Luxor pool area where I spent the last two days sweltering on the shade-free deck and getting lousy service.

On the good side, it cured me of my Vegas obsession for about a year.

Blowing your budget and being stranded are two totally different things.
My "Gambling Buddy" always says we are going to leave early, (say by 1-2am) so I play through my $ by that time, and then I am stuck sitting around for another 8 hours usually and I start tilting really bad.

SO I kinda want to start going to play on my own again...
I remember when slapinfunk needed a free room at Caesars and the only way he could get it was if I showed up. So I flew up there so he could get the free room. Unfortunately I was in Vegas the weekend before and I had very little money for gambling. And sure enough the first night lost my limited bankroll. So I called Southwest for an early flight out... and since it was a holiday weekend there were no seats. they said dont even try standby. I was stuck.

I had about a hundred bucks cash in my wallet for "gambling." thats what was left of my budget.

so I went to roulette... the first and only time in my life... and put $20 on black. it hit. Now $40 on black, it hit. Now $80 on black, it hit. Now $160 -- on red, and it hit. Now $320. I went to craps.

Back then Caesars actually had $10 tables.

So, I took my spot just as a new shooter got the dice. And he went on a tear. Soon I had over a thousand dollars in my rail which actually replenished the small bankroll I brought with me so slapinfunk could get his free room and I could pick up all of his meals and room charges with my comps.

Sometimes the gambling Gods take care of you.

then I watched some movies.

edited to add: by the way slapinfunk, when you had to wait around, who kept feeding you cash to keep playing?
but like last night... I took out way to much of a loan than I really wanted to... too much sleep deprivation is to blame mostly...

And remember... I never ask for "lucky bills" you give them to me, you dont have to... I am more than happy to accept a loan...
