Excalibur reviews

We will be staying at the Excalibur and have read good and bad reviews. What are some of your opinions?
I haven't stayed there since the 90s so any specifics I have are too old to be relevant. But I will say that it is a great location, usually great prices, plus any room with a bed and shower is all I ever need in Vegas.
The vomit and bleach stained carpets of the casino are very classy.
I was there one night 4 years ago. It was just me, not the wife...so the room was fine even though it was cramped and overlooked the air conditioning units. The place is huge. Lots of kids around. I had an unexpectedly good dinner at the Steak House at Camelot. The pool area is sorely lacking for such a big property. Overall, it was fine for me and it was in fact, the cheapest room in Vegas that night.

Have stayed there at least once each of the last five years. Room prices - usually one of the lowest price on the strip (even with resort charge). Great location if you are going to be walking the strip. Pool area have been renovated - clean, separate adults-only pool, waterslide. Lots of kids, accept it or stay somewhere else. Older rooms are ok, showing their age. Renovated rooms are a bit nicer. Never ate there, except for breakfast in the coffee shop. As far as vomit-stained carpet, I've seen vomit in the halls at Palazzo.
Thanks for the info. We booked it for next May and after booking I heard good and bad. Looks like not as bad as I have heard. Thanks
Next May? You really like to plan ahead.
I usually book ahead but usually not quite so early but I had certificates for money off on airline and could only use them until July 12th. Air fare was pretty good so got it while I could save money.
Can you cancel Excalibur is something better comes along? smartervegas.com and https://deals.lasvegasadvisor.com/ have some good deals.
I most likely could but if Excalibur not to bad will give it a try. I did my booking through the airlines which uses hotlel.com. I have stayed at many different places in Vegas but this will be my first time for Excalibur. Some of the places are gone now. Thanks for the info. For some reason or another the hotel we usually stay at is not available on the dates I picked. My husband and I usually stay about midway on the strip.
