. . . Eyes on the Skies . . .

DonDiego does not wish to alarm the reader, . . . but on Friday the 23rd [+ or - one day] the 6.5-ton Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite [UARS] is going to fall out of orbit and hit the Earth, . . . somewhere.

Not to worry, eh? Well, maybe, . . . "scientists expect up to 26 pieces, with a combined mass of about 1,100 pounds to survive the fiery re-entry and fall down somewhere on Earth . . . The largest chunk of wreckage from UARS is expected to be about 331 pounds."

DonDiego plans on remaining indoors on those days. He wants to be sure that he's around on 21 December 2012, . . . just to see what happens.

Let's hope it lands safely at the Spaceport. "When it comes to outer space, we're bringing it down to earth in New Mexico!"
Thanks for the latest edition of the "Doom and Gloom" Report.

Earth is 2/3s water- thems is good odds.
odds are it won't be noticed.

Meanwhile DD, it's that bacon you had this morning that's infinitely more likely to do you in.
Round and round she goes.. where she stops, nobody knows
You could always collect the pieces and build a car out of them.

Yummmmm, . . . bacon!

Perhaps arshaleign (aka forkush) can help poor old DonDiego. He's not been able to figure out how those bacon dispensers in restrooms work; . . . he presses the button, but he never gets any bacon.

It is not a bacon dispenser. It is a jellyfish.
Would that be covered under homeowners?
