Facebook

You friended them. You unfiriend them.
I do not understand the concept. The original idea (way to meet chicks) made sense.

Relatives insisted I join. I did. All I ever saw was pictures of people I see plenty and the most boring details of their existence.

Keep getting the friends waiting and bump stuff but forgot my password (No I do not want you to tell me how to get past that problem!).

The only reason I got involved with FB is my daughter wanted me to have a site so she could post my grand daughters pictures. I hardly ever go there, but when I visited about a month or so ago, 3/4 of the people that were my "friends" I had never heard of. How can you get rid of those people?

I use craigslist.

most of the casinos are on facebook and you can add them and get specials and sometimes there are contests to enter...

you can add whatever YOU like and get updates that way. i "like" every fest i go to and i get updates on line ups and ticket sales and whatever. i "like" airlines too so i see the specials as soon as they are announced.

you dont have to use it the way this thread makes it sound is the only way to use it. hell, you dont have to add any actual people if you dont want to.

I agree. I get updates from airlines and most of the casino's in Vegas posted on my page.

I read two different articles that said the people who steal idenities, use facebook to add information they gean, to other sources information to steal identities. FYI
1 year? That is harsh. I think kids today would choose FB over driving.
Hmmmm, guess I learned a bit more about facebook and how people use it. I guess what strinkes a nerve with me is the when i see people writing on facebook when they should be paying attention to the present(ie,"enjoying someones company"). I would be highly insulted to get home from someones house who i was visiting to find they were on facebook writing about it. WTF!! people Writing on facebook is that GD important that you cant wait a few hours, then write about it! sheesh!.
While I'm ranting, I may as well include people who text incessantly. It pisses me off when i'm talking with someone and they're having a texting conversation with someone while talking with me. If you need to talk with someone, say excuse me i gotta make a call,be back with you in a minute. I guess its about a little common courtesy/common sense.

BTW I'm a young 45
