no offense.

Facebook users 'are insecure, narcissistic and have low self-esteem'

I have an account but rarely use it. It has been a useful way to share family photos with cousins.
Facebookers are different than the people that use this forum. It's away to communicate between those with similar interests. However Facebook allows you to choose who sees that info.

Personally I have no use for facebook, but I'm not surprised it is so popular. I'm just surprised it took so many years after the advent of the internet for someone to come up with the idea. The internet is like money. It's a terrific servant, but a terrible master. Unfortunately it's become a master to so many people.

I did join several months ago because I wanted to keep tabs on a former business neighbor who was arrested by the Feds and make sure he wasn't reopening his business and bringing back his scummy clientele. Right after I joined I spent a few hours looking at pages of people from high school, college, and other periods of my life. It was definitely entertaining, but I haven't done it since. I'll never use the site again. It's such a huge time waster and I have no desire to reconnect with people from my long ago past.
I love FB...Play games and have kept in contact with friends and family far away. Bag...Go see your grand daughters

I was wondering how many people on here have an acct.? Or I should say how many use it all the time.

I have an acct butrarely ever really read it. I happened to look at it earlier and I saw 3, yes 3,people saying what a great time they were having with friends and what a great dinner they had eaten. All I could think of was WTF! are you typing on facebook when you have company that you're enjoying!? I don't get it.

I swear, between texting non stop and facebooking, its a wonder there aren't societal misfits that there are! urrmmmpphh!
rant over, thx

JOHN

The next rant from you will consist of "GET OFF MY LAWN!"

If someone is using Facebook to "friend" innocent people, and then scam them out of money, is Facebook partially responsible?

I'm thinking no, but thought I'd throw it out there anyway.
Is the telephone company responsible when someone cold calls you and scams you out of money?
