Fastest Selling Item on Black Friday 2011

According to USA Today Black Friday's shopping legions purchased a record number of firearms:
"Gun dealers flooded the FBI with background check requests for prospective buyers last Friday, smashing the single-day, all-time high by 32%, according to bureau records."

Up heh in Appalachia there ain't nothin' gives a man comfort in his ability to defend his family and hisself like a reliable revolver.

Did you trade your Ruger in for a Colt?

The Brady folks said that you don't need no stinkin' guns.
Hurry up and buy them before the government repeals the 2nd Ammendment or something.

I know people with that exact thought process.

My uncle who would not survive a background check just buys them at gun shows. No ID required, he says.

Unfortunately the vintage Colt pictured in the original post does not belong to poor old DonDiego.

Nonetheless, it remains legal, for the moment, to possess multiple firearms. DonDiego judges Ruger handguns to be of excellent quality, . . . those in his possession and those elsewhere.

Well, . . . up heh in the Mountains pr'bly nobody's thinkin' that there 2nd Amendment is gonna be RE-pealed.

How-some-ever there is the occasional suspicion that somebody might git the idea of makin' purchasin' more dificult, . . . or might make registration more IN-volved, . . . or someday might jes' ignore that there 2nd Amendment fer convenience, doncha know.
Or, . . . maybe, . . . declare some sorta E-mergency in which some SE-lect rights-and-such are suspended. By golly, nobody's gonna put poor old DonDiego in any Japanese concentration camp out there in Arizona.
