It doesn't need to be repealed to outlaw handgun ownership. Chicago and NYC come to mind....

Happy Holidays to one and all Mazel!

No wonder you are such a popular gal.

My fav's the Beretta 92 series. Very easy to tear down, high capacity, and very accurate. For less cost, a Taurus works just as well.

But, it's not a Glock.
I don't believe in guns. Nothing good ever becomes of them in peoples hands. Too many stories of children getting killed by one by either shooting themselves or their friends they are showing them off to and they misfire and kill someone.

Thought you carried a .38?
I travel with my two friends, Smith & Wesson, on long road trips. Glad they were along several years ago when I had car trouble on a lonely interstate highway rest stop. Four guys started to get out of their car to "help" me. When I replied I didn't need any assistance and pulled my jacket aside to reveal my traveling "companions" they left in an awful hurry. A woman was found murdered a year later at a rest area just down the road from where I had been. Still an unsolved crime. I firmly believe in gun control....being able to consistently hit your target.

Glasses can affect your vision; especially when they have been emptied several times......

That is one of the most ignorant statement I have heard. Many on this board grew up with them and managed NOT to kill, hurt or destroy with any gun. We also had TOY ones and knew if you did touch them your A$$ was going to be red. We also had a level of respect growing up knowing if it was not YOURS you did not touch it. I mean many people had the old glass cases unlocked with them. We learned respect for the gun, the people around you and those who own it. That is the problem today, it is not the gun, but how kids are taught by their parents. We watched the movies and respected our parents and those around us.

Amen.
My Grandfather collected amazing and ornate Cigarette lighters.. they were NOT Toys and we could look but not touch. They were works of art- Windmills, pistols, Ships Wheels...blocks of silver.
I got to pick one for myself when he passed as all the grandkids did.
I learned to shoot as a teen, learned more in my twenties..I have not shot at a person but have practiced upstate at targets.
Guns are like money-- respect it and it will respect and serve you.
Life is sacred/Just don't come in my place thru a window and I got no beef w/ you(se).

Are we clear..?

Is that in inches or feet?

Second Amendment arguments, like biblical arguments, get very loud and prove little other than the arguer's interpretation of something that was written long ago under vastly different circumstances.

Sometimes, courts make an honest and unbiased effort to determine whether new laws are consistent or inconsistent with our Constitution as amended. Other times, courts prefer to apply politically influenced standards of interpretation. Both liberally biased courts and conservatively biased courts have existed in our history. We are now in an era of conservatively influenced standards of interpretation, and likely will be well into the foreseeable future.

The above means that new laws intended to curb private gun ownership stand little chance of holding up in court nowadays. Gun ownership is likely to continue growing for that and other reasons.

It is my guess that gun owners as a group would profess to be more patriotic than those who do not own guns. Therefore, I see gun ownership as a perfect starting point for a "buy local, buy American" resurgence. If you're going to buy a gun, get one from a licensed local shop. Get one made in America from American parts. Hire a professional to train you. Practice regularly in a safe place. Act as if you belong to a "well-regulated militia", in other words. Walk the walk.
