This isn't a drop, it's a flood.

I found Gov. Christie believable when he claimed he didn't know about the lane closings at the time. Now his high school classmate and longtime ally David Wildstein says that's not true, that Gov. Christie knew.

According to Wildstein's lawyer today, "evidence exists as well tying Mr. Christie to having knowledge of the lane closures, during the period when the lanes were closed, contrary to what the governor stated publicly in a two-hour press conference". New York Times

The Republicans will find someone to run for President in 2016. It's still crazy early, but it's looking less and less likely that person will be Gov. Christie.

I think CC may be able to hang on to the governorship but he's done as a presidential contender.

From New Jersey's largest newspaper, which endorsed Christie in the last election:

Hmmm. I'm enjoying Forkie's and Chilcoot's little clusterf*ck. Maybe the two of them should get a room.

I did read this little passage from Reuters:

David Wildstein, who resigned his post at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey late last year, said he had evidence that proves Christie had knowledge of the jams "during the period when the lanes were closed," according to a letter sent to the authority's lawyer and released to the newspaper.

The letter does not indicate that Christie orchestrated the closures in any way, does not specify exactly when he became aware of the jams, and offers no evidence to back up the claim.

When is the presidential election? Is it next month?

This has great potential to blow up on the libs.

Who cares about Christie. He's a snake that belongs in the Democrat party and he'll probably end up there a la Charlie Crist. New Jerseyans must be some of the most gullible people in America to fall for his phony act. He probably knew and he should resign.

True! But if the letter is accurate, then Christie lied at his December 13 press conference. Anyone here smell toast?

Who the hell constructs a sentences like that after junior high age? All you left out was the "nyah, nyah, nyah."

What we know: Christie appointed criminal sociopaths to powerful positions within his administration, his campaign manager is taking the Fifth, his old high school classmate and patronage appointee says Christie lied in his press conference, the mayor of Hoboken says she was the victim of a shakedown, and his pattern of distributing Hurricane Sandy funds is beginning to look like a sequel to Chinatown.

On page 1 of this thread I said I don't know if he planned it, and I'll go even further. I do not know if Chris Christie planned ANY of this. But whether he was in charge of the sewer or just floating downstream with the rest of the solid matter, I think he's done.
