Now, if you are referring to Benghazi-gate, that was clearly a cluster, but it did seem to revolve around the State Dept., and associates of those persons. If it had been Pres. Obama that had pulled the Special Forces out several months prior, it would be a different cluster all together.


No, I used the term properly. If I referred to him as President Obama, then I should capitalize the word "President".

No, not THE reason - I said it was one of the reasons the GOP is doing poorly with women.

I believe another reason they are doing poorly with women is that Republicans tend to glorify bullies - like Governor Christie - and a lot of women have been married or in a relationship with that type. Hope I'm not hitting to close to home, Roulette Man.

You really are out of touch. There is no Republican issue with misogynistic statements offending women. You are the most misogynistic person on this board, with the creepy stalking you did on treegirl. There is a substantial portion of pro-choice Republican women who will not vote for certain Republican candidates.

[EDIT] I think you also miss my point. I was using theoreticals. Why does malliber need to refer to Mr. Christie as "The Fat Man"? Should the fact that Mr. Christie is overweight have any affect on what is reported on in an article that isn't about his weight? Should Mrs. Clinton's or Nancy Pelosi's appearance be referred to when referring to them in a story? Of course not.

The word President is capitalized throughout the Constitution. Therefore, that's what he is/does, President; President of the United States of America (not your, or our, president).

LOL. Under your line of thinking, the sentence "The senators went back to Washington DC after the winter break." would be incorrect because the word "senators" isn't capitalized. You may have a new screen name, but your writing style fools nobody. I can only laugh that you desperately hold on to your incorrect assertion, when in fact all of the grammar websites state that you are 100% wrong. Perhaps you should consider going back to a junior college and taking a writing course.

The grammar sites are wrong. If you are referring to him as a person, he is Barrack Obama. If you are referring to what he does, he is President. Period. If he met with the President of Mexico, they would both be President.

If you are referencing senators (or presidents) in general, or in the abstract, use lower case. If you are referring to two of them specifically, it is "the Senators went back to Washington...

E.g. "The president of a corporation usually has the power to endorse checks." "Can you get me a list of presidents who have been impeached?"

Since, in your original quote, you were referring specifically to the current President of the United States, the word is President.

And again, it may just be me, but I think that's because he's not quite the war mongerer that the other side tends to nominate as Commander in Chief, ACCORDING TO THE GATES BOOK HIS MILITARY DECISIONS ARE BASED ON WHAT WILL GET HIM THE MOST VOTES, RATHER THAN DOING WHAT IS RIGHT
