The Fat Man is in trouble (Chris Christie)

As a Conservative, if Chris Christie knew about this revenge bridge closing before this week or had any part in orchestrating it he should resign immediately or be removed from office by whatever means the New Jersey Constitution affords.

If he only found out this week and fires all who orchestrated or knew of this revenge tactic, he should be allowed to remain in office and accept responsibility for the fiasco.

Also, as a Conservative, I hope the same standard is held for our President with respect to the revenge IRS targeting of Conservative groups. This scandal is at least 6 months older. NOBODY HAS BEEN FIRED ( Lois Learner was on PAID leave and RETIRED WITH PENSION). Nobody has yet to be held accountable for this fiasco.

Not as the result of a vandetta against political opponents. The jam went beyond the highway and locked up the entitre town....for an entire week. Ask small business owners in Fort Lee (the people Republicans pretend to give a crap about) what the effect was on their businesses that week and how much their revenues went down.

Lawsuits are coming. Lots of them.

The evidence of any top-down ordering of IRS investigations of political opponents is locked away with the presidents Kenyan Birth certificate.

Thats sorta the difference between the apples and oranges in the two cases.

But they will remember because there is now an ongoing Federal criminal investigation going on. I suspect there will eventually be criminal charges at least against members of his inner circle. So best case he isn't implicated himself, but this will drag on for a couple of years and conclude with the imprisonment of some of his top people. This will be in the news off and on for at least the next 2-3 years.

Let me ask this question......

If it is found that Gov. Christie ordered the revenge shutdown of GWB lanes because of his hatred of the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee.....

And if it is found that the 91 year old lady died because the EMT staff could not reach her in a asap manner because of the lane closures.......

could not Gov. Christie be charged with 2nd degree murder or reckless homicide ?

The RichThuglican Party is trying to gloss this over (like they do all criminal activities of their party), but when somebody dies and the health and welfare of an entire city's population is put at risk, the general public is not soon going to forget.


Also, have been watching some of that hearing this morning....(being shown on CNN and MSNBC, tho not on Faux). One of Christie's henchmen has lawyered up and is pleading the 5th on every question thrown his way.

Like some others have said.......Christie is done. Stick a fork in him. His Tony Soprano attitude might play cute with some of the right winger nutcases out there, but it sure as hell ain't gonna play for anywhere near 50% of the voting public of the USA.

The dinosaur party better start working on trotting out another criminal mastermind to run for Pres in 2016 !

Maybe - just maybe - the Democrats get a "pass" when they take the 5th ......Seem like Lois Lerner did? Seems like this did not affect her job at all. She got to retire with a nice government pension that you and I will fund for the rest of our lives.

Maybe - just maybe - nobody is holding her chain of command accountable.

BTW - can that vault be subpoenaed?

Because we like Obama. We don't like Chris Christie.
