Fat Man To Be Probed

Yes, all he has to do is lower the standards at the prestigious University of Wisconsin into that of a community college. I am sure you will support Pence doing the same to Purdue and IU. We can call IU Ivy Tech Bloomington and Purdue Ivy Tech West Lafayette.

He even deleted "seeking truth" from their mission statement. He is as dumb as the guy who thinks you can examine a woman's vagina by having her swallow a camera.

As ususal pj misspeaks. Wisconsin is operating at a surplus. The NJ state Assembly and senate are democratic & most of the previoius governors were democrats. The NJ pension problems were a product of the democrats although Christie didn't help the situation

I can back up my statement, Hoops. That comes with being informed and knowing how to use the internet.
Maybe its time for you to learn too.
Bloomberg: Wisconsin faces 250 billion deficit...Walker skips debt payments
"Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, facing a $283 million deficit that needs to be closed by the end of June, will skip more than $100 million in debt payments to balance the books thrown into disarray by his tax cuts"

Mitch Daniels, Indiana's previous Conservative Governor, is now the President of my beloved Purdue University. Mitch took over the Purdue in an effort to correct the flaw contained within the Liberal college model..............................spending like "drunken' sailors".

This is the forth consecutive years with zero tuition cost increases at Purdue, and the forth year in a row of decreasing room and board expenses. During this time, most colleges have increased costs by 25%, but Mitch has lowered the cost to attend Purdue by about 5%. Indiana Liberals have stopped regularly claiming that "the sky will fall", because Mitch has proved that Purdue can be run well with much less money.

Government could and should do just fine with 40% fewer employees.

PJ - you have a few extra zeros, the possible deficit is $250m

If UW wants to save money, they can start with the salaries of their football and basketball coaching staffs that make over $7m annually

Thanks Hoops...I already corrected my post yesterday. And guess what? Wisconsin is still in the red.
UW is not responsible for the state budget. The people who are have decided the best way to achieve that goal is to dole out tax cuts for rich people and skip debt payments.

If University of Wisconsin wants to save money, they should hire Mitch Daniels, previous Indiana governor and current Purdue president.

While most states' budgets have recovered and are now in the black NJ, Ks, and WI are all struggling to fund basic services and obligations in their states. Massive tax cuts have not resulted in more revenue - which was and continues to be their sales pitch to voters.

When NJ's pensions default 20 years from now you can be sure Boilerman will blame unions instead of the governor that defunded their accounts

"While most states' budgets have recovered and are now in the black"

Except here in Michigan where the republican governor managed to run up a big deficit this year because of his trickle down economics.
"Except here in Michigan where the republican governor managed to run up a big deficit this year because of his trickle down economics."

Not true

The projected shortfall is partially due to unexpectedly high refunds under the old Michigan Business Tax. The credits were largely issued before Snyder and the Republican-led Legislature axed the tax and replaced it with a Corporate Income Tax that exempted many small businesses.
But the credits are valid through 2032
There is a Wisconsin plan, coming fully from the Republicans, to decrease state spending by $300 million. This will balance the budget and all is good.

Liberals never ever would consider balancing a budget fully by spending cuts.

Maliber must have missed this story as he is usually prompt in posting things like this

Moody's Investors Service last week downgraded the city’s credit rating, citing $20 billion in unfunded pension liabilities. The agency lowered the rating on $8.3 billion in general obligation debt to near junk bond status and issued a cautious forecast about the city’s longer-term financial future.

OR THIS STORY

WASHINGTON — Hillary Rodham Clinton exclusively used a personal email account to conduct government business as secretary of state, State Department officials said, and may have violated federal requirements that officials’ correspondence be retained as part of the agency’s record.

Mrs. Clinton did not have a government email address during her four-year tenure at the State Department. Her aides took no actions to have her personal emails preserved on department servers at the time, as required by the Federal Records Act.
Ah, the transparency continues.
