Favorite life changing item?

Okay, these items won't solve your gift buying problems, but these are game changers. Garage door opener and an ice maker. There's millions of other things, but these are two things that we didn't have at my parents home until, say 1975. Once you get 'em, you think "How great is this!"

If you decide to go with a "hyper-insulated" cup, you don't need that super expensive Yeti brand. With a little research, you can find one that's just as good for half of the price.

Good luck.

Yeah, the yeti is a good one. Watch out for Chinese knock offs.
Starbucks is $$,but really great.

My life need is my computer!!!
Not so much my cell phone.
I would be an unhappy camper without my micro wave! Life changer, totally.

Daisy basket is the cook?
Good knives are required.
Better tools equates to better results.
Retired auto mechanic, here. Good tools are required.

- Clonazepam for sleep. Nothing else helped, not Ambien, not Lunesta, you name it, nothing worked. Bless my PC doc, since at that time it wasn't indicated for sleep. My husband had some for...something and let me try his. Bingo, and no hangover effect! Actually last year the doc tried to switch me to Trazadone. I tried, it no good, no help, so he gave my Clon back to me (after my pleading/sob story).

- Microwave oven

- And I agree with garage door opener.

- Wood box, which husband keeps filled so I can have my fireplace fires in the winter.

Sleep aids?
Over the counter:
Doxylamine 25 mg.
OOPS! That's the generic for Unisom.
Never mind.

Sure,they are addictive,but cheap.
Yeah,a little hangover.
That's what caffiene is for.
Gimme a few Mt. Dews and I'll be good.
Screw the coffee cartel!
Strong black tea for me.
As as alcoholic,I need liquids in the morning.
Caffeine is a bonus.
I don't have the yeti, well actually I now thanks to a work freebie from my dad. But last year I bought "the coldest cup ever made" along with some really good reviews. It is awesome. It has the threaded sport cap, not the open plastic lid. I paid like $26 or so, but it is awesome. Haven't use my yeti yet. Just got it at Christmas.

The garage door opener, while awesome, also makes me sad. Our Midwest life is used to front porch neighbor waving, while southwest life has concrete walls and straight into the garage door so there isn't much neighboring. The most interaction with the neighbors are at the mailbox or trash. Fans. However, we are very good friends with two neighbors.

HOLY CRAP!!!
Excellent.
However,I would not trade my micro wave for that. OR my computer.
I just trot out to my car and run back inside, with my CLUB on the steering wheel.
Cars have been stolen, from the street like that.
No garage for me.

OK,I want it all.
Consumerism.

Instead of THE CLUB have you ever thought of locking the car with your remote? And even if the
thief breaks into your vehicle and attempts to drive away the car will shut off.

Air Conditioning. Nothing better than crankin up the air in the Summer and then falling asleep under blankets . I have too many unpleasant memories as a kid trying to fall asleep in the muddle of summer , sweatin bullets , fans only circulated hot air ! Then ,of course, there is the air conditioned car ! Being stuck in bumper to bumper traffic without air in the summer sucks. Bob

I bought an ADOT truck that has "secure idle" installed;

https://www.secure-idle.com/product.html

It's kind of handy. You press the secure idle button, put it in park and then remove the key.

The car keeps running, but without a key you can't put it in drive. I lock the door when I use it, but even if the door is open they still can't steal the vehicle, at least not easily.
Microwave
The pc
smart phone

the pc is the single most important inovation to come by in the last 40 years followed by...
the smart phone.

Damn I-phone acts as pager, note taker, picture taker, flash light, and ever present pain in the ass.
