While we all know that Hollywood is full of a bunch of idiots today, Forkie has confirmed there were idiots in Hollywood all the way back in 1947. Thank you for the heads up.

I find it interesting that Forkie finds his "words to live by" from Hollywood movies.

Gentleman's Agreement, the Best Picture winner in 1947 starring Gregory Peck, was about antisemitism. And there's a famous scene pointing out that bigots can typically be identified by their use of the "some of my best friends" line.

It's still true today, and that shouldn't be news to any intelligent person.

Actually, it was a novel first. But yeah, if you want real wisdom, just listen to outside salesmen who drive around listening to talk radio all day.

You are right, but not for any of your own blind judgment and condemnation of people with differing political ideology reasons. I don't judge people by race, ethnicity or skin color. I want to know who every individual is and what they represent if they are going to have any influence on my life or the lives of my family and friends.

You and Bruce and other leftists are true racists when you claim a white conservative saying he or she has black friends is proof of racism or white supremacy on their part. You are the people who see skin color first, character second, and when the character doesn't match what you think people of a certain color should match, you attack them for betraying their race. There were some racist left wing folks who said Øbama wasn't "black enough" during his first presidential campaign. Those are your fellow liberals. See skin color first and judge people by it.

So my question to you, and I've asked it before but I'll try to be more specific. So if a person you've never met before, no clue who he is or what his leanings are, left or right, and claims he/she has "a lot of" , or "some of my best friends are black" what do you say?

How about this, a guy says some of his best friends are Chinese?, or how about Laotian? any urban dictionary definitions for this? You'rte stuff has been absolute bullshit lately Forkie, you should be embarrassed.

Are you really serious!? A 1947 movie that "proves , or at least an extremely lame attempt at your point? I'm dying to know my ,friend,, wth is a person supposed to say if some of their best friends are black?
