FBI: No Charges For Hillary

The FBI Director referred more than once about the culture of State as being extremely careless. I'd like to know if Mrs Clinton inherited this situation or if she created it. I suspect the investigation showed she inherited it, and thus wasn't fully responsible for it. Washington Departments are generally run by career people who have seen Administrations and Secretaries come and go.
When Bobby Kennedy took over at Justice, he inherited a culture of racism that he literally had to drag into the Civil Rights conflict. From my limited time working at the Pentagon, I can only imagine the battles the New Sec. of Defense goes through every new Administration.

What is this? That is a very large assumption on your behalf. Taking over as Secretary of State, I'm sure she was briefed on security protocol, but I'm guessing she was too lazy to follow the rules.

The Hillary vs James Comey

At least one of these persons is lying.

That's an assumption on your part. The Director stated the Department had such a culture. If it was limited to the Sec. of State and her circle, I don't think he would have cast a net over the entire Department.
Yep, she's just a peach.

To summarize:
-She lied under oath about turning over all work emails
-She lied about never sending or receiving classified emals (110 in 52 chains)
-She lied about any mail with classified markings
-She lied about the security of hjer server
-She lied about having permission to have her own server.

All this and no prosecution, what a complete fallacy.

Factbox: FBI vs. Clinton - Seven points of contention

Reuters) - FBI Director James Comey undercut some of the main arguments Hillary Clinton has made in defense of her use of an unauthorized private email system while she was U.S. secretary of state.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation began investigating Clinton's email system after government watchdogs found that some of her messages contained classified government secrets last year.

Comey is recommending that Clinton not face criminal charges. But in an unusual step, he used a news conference to give a public rebuttal on Tuesday of the defenses offered by Clinton over the last year. Here are seven times that Comey contradicts Clinton:

ON RETURNING WORK EMAILS

Clinton said:

Clinton said in March 2015 that she returned "anything that could be possibly viewed as work related." She later swore under oath that she returned all her work emails to the State Department in 2014, some 30,000 in all.

Comey said:

The FBI recovered "several thousand" work emails that were not returned to the State Department. Comey has "reasonable confidence" that there was no deliberate effort to withhold these messages.

ON CLASSIFIED INFORMATION

Clinton said:

Clinton has repeatedly said she did not send or receive any classified information through her private email system, and that emails being released to the public that were now marked classified were being retroactively "upgraded."

Comey said:

The FBI found 110 emails in 52 email chains that contained information that was classified at the time the messages were sent. Eight of those chains contained Top Secret information, the highest level of government classification; another 36 chains contained Secret information, and eight contained confidential information.

ON CLASSIFICATION MARKINGS

Clinton said:

Clinton has repeatedly said she did not send or receive any emails that were "marked" classified.

Comey said:

A "very small number" of emails were marked as containing classified information. "But even if information is not marked 'classified' in an email, participants who know or should know that the subject matter is classified are still obligated to protect it," Comey said.

ON SECURITY:

Clinton said:

The "security and integrity" of the email system were taken seriously, and "robust protections" were put in place, according to her staff in March 2015.

Comey said:

The system was "not even supported by full-time security staff, like those found at departments and agencies of the U.S. government, or even with a commercial service like Gmail."

ON HACKING

Clinton said:

Clinton said there is no evidence there was ever a breach of her email system.

Comey said:

It would be unlikely to find "direct evidence" of Clinton's email system being hacked, but the FBI believes "it is possible that hostile actors gained access." "Hostile actors" also gained access to some people Clinton corresponded with on her email system.

ON APPROACH TO GOVERNMENT SECRETS

Clinton said:

"I'm certainly well aware of the classification requirements," Clinton said in March 2015.

Comey said:

Clinton and her colleagues were "extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information."

ON CONSEQUENCES

Clinton said:

Clinton has maintained that her email system was allowed and that she did nothing wrong. She has also said it was a "mistake" and apologized for it.

Comey said:

There is no evidence that Clinton and her colleagues intended to break the law, but people who engage in similar activity are "often subject to security or administrative sanctions."

So doe the bolden styatement mean she should lose her security clearance?

Hmm, I didn't see all of Comeys press conference, is that what he said? A culture of sloppy safeguards. I guess that would make everything OK then.

You just indirectly stated Hillary was not competent, in your believed allegation. I think as a Hillary apologist, you need to wake up and see this woman is hardly innocent.
She made a terrible mistake. Was it criminal, no. Should it disqualify her from being President? Not in my mind, but that is up to the voting public.
As I have consistently stated my personal choice to be the next President would be Governor Kasich and have said it since last year, I'm not sure how I get labeled a Clinton apologist. Being anti- Trump does not make one pro- Clinton.
Yea, I liked Kasich also. But Billy you made a pretty inspired post once why you weren't a liberal or even close and a good explanation on your split with the Rep. party, common these days. Yet you seem to consistently argue every conservative point on the board and supporting the left views. Strange.
This outcome helps Trump. He will use it as an election issue to paint Hillary as a privileged elite, extremely careless and with bad judgment. Had she been charged and then Biden or Bernie became the last minute nominee, Trump's election chances would have gone from slim to none.
PJ suggests some here are mad about the outcome. He couldn't be further from the truth in my case. First, Liarry is very beatable even for a candidate as flawed as Trump. Similar to Billryan, I am not a fan of Trump, I just want anyone but Liarry. But the reason I am not mad as suggested by the always incorrect PJ is this.....had Liarry been indicted, she would have had to withdraw. The new ticket I would have guessed would have been Crazy Joe and the fool leftist Warren. I doubt that Trump could beat that pair. So I'm actually not mad at all.....after all, the fix was in anyway. The losers here are Democrat voters. Here's hoping that the left is happy with the liar they have chosen to represent them......I'm still finding it hard to believe that you guys can support someone who lies to your face. And I'm guessing she is laughing her fat ass off at fooling some of the people all of the time. LOL, you guys have been voting for Chicago Democrats and can't seem to help yourselves.
