Mr. Scalise is the third ranking Republican in the U.S. House and in the national party leadership which some would say is a bigger deal than being Mayor of New York City.
I note it is only MLK day that Mr. Scalise voted against. He didn't feel passionate enough about any other Federal Holiday to go on the record and vote against them. (malibber wonders what dives Mr. Scalise's passions?)
Anyway malibber assumed that since Alan Leroy expressed such an interest in New York City politics he would have a similar passion for national politics. Especially in a case where there is an actual record of inflammatory statements and actions. malibber now realizes Alan Leroy's outrage is reserved for only the Mayor of New York City in cases where there is no actual record of inflammatory statements or actions.

Apparently I'm not as obsessed with Republican Party Politics as Mr. Malibber as I have no clue who Steve Scalise is or what he really stands for. For the record, I am opposed to any additional Federal Holidays and support eliminating both Labor Day and Columbus Day.

I thought this was an appropriate question on the Martin Luther King Holiday especially given that Steve Scalise voted against that holiday twice. Does Mr. Alanleroy view this action as provocative?
