Fessed up

Yes, that is appropriate to take note of. Mr. Vitter actually broke the law and Mr. Winier did not. Several of the Republicans that are calling for Mr. Wiener's resignation gave Mr. Vitter thousands of dollars for his reelection campaign. Maybe instead of resigning Mr. Wiener should be looking at a Senate run?

This wacko and others like him are the elected representatives of today's morons who think only of themselves.

They think they are above the law and that their do as I say and not as I do code is a way of life. Wiener was an arrogant ass that when you watched him during news interviews in the last few months made you think how could this guy get voted into office in the first place. He is just another lying politician that doesn't deserve to be in the position he is in. These guys need to remember they were put there to work for us. Arrogance has no place in that position.

Well, Mr Weiner has yet to get it. His own party is jumping ship on him and it's only going to get worse. Congressman Weiner didn't fess up quick enough and let things drag out too long, so now he's going to pay for it.

When it comes to supporting sex criminals in their own party - Vitter, Ensign - Republicans are very cocky.

I like that the big banks got spanked. The only problem is it went to big retailers instead of consumers and or the government. The swipe fees were a vestige from the days of non-computer credit card transactions where there was a lot of paperwork involved. Over the years the banks just pocked the increased profits even though the transactions were much easier to process. What I am upset about is congress has spent more time on this issue than anything else (jobs, health care and so on) and both big monied groups felt like they were entitled to this money. It never was brought up maybe we should give it to the consumers (the people that actually pay these fees) or perhaps the government should just call it a tax as a way to increase revenues without having to raise taxes on anyone, but no the only question was who would get the consumer's money the big banks or big box retailers.

Let me get this straight. You are upset that a cap was put on banks charging swipe fees to merchants (which is passed on to the consumer)? I never knew you were a big defender of big banks mali.

Come on Mail, don't you remember that once a tax or fee is in place, it never goes away. It only gets larger. Kinda like that tax they repealed that was enacted to pay for the Spanish American War.......

Really Tony? You (all of us) are paying less in taxes NOW then in the Saint Reagan era. Don't let the facts get in the way of your arguments/political ideology my friend.
Considering I'm making $20K less than 2 years ago. Yea I'm paying less in taxes.

Btw, I was making almost $40k a year, now I'll be happy if I make $25k.
