Final packing and panic!

Finishing late night before packing,making sure everything is out ready to go.
Bags,check. Tab,cell phones and chargers,cgeck. Stuff,check. More and more stuff,check check check. Wallet..um wallet..WALLET???? OH SH!T!!!! WALLET?! Searching high and low for it,no frickin' luck,major frustration panic setting in. Now 2 AM,then its approacjhing 3,crap crap crap.
No debit card..no AMEX card..no ins. card..no more turkey ala king..no more turkey sandwiches...BUMPUSES!!! I was really really freaking. What do you do when you have to fly in a few hours and you lost your pic ID? We were getting ready to call the airline to find out.

Finally after we searched for a few hours my wife says to me "didn't you say wanted to squish it?" (i just bought a new one). OH YEA! It's down in the basement squished under a 100 some lbs of weights on the gym. Problem is ,we cant lift it right now,have to wait til our son wakes up

Well,rest of stuff all packed and set to go. Getting a little excited and a little apprehensive at the same time. Big step for me. Wish me luck I'll let everyone know how we like(or not) the plaza when i get a chance.

You can fly domestically without a picture ID.

I actually won a pretty big bet on it a few years ago. One friend swore 100% that it was impossible. Another friend just so happened to be flying from Vegas to Seattle the next day. He told the tsa person some stripper at the Rhino stole his wallet. He called us from McCarran and told us he actually made it through security quicker then the people with ID. They made him answer a few questions about his address and birthdate and he was on the plane.

I made a photocopy of my ID that I keep separate from my wallet in case my wallet goes missing.

I also keep a packing list on my PDA that I've used and updated over the years. I never worry about forgetting anything as it doesn't get checked off the list until it goes into the bag. There is even a item on the list to ensure the bag goes into the car.

You can do a return trip without id. I'm not sure you can do the first leg of it.

Prior to one of my trips, I had a crazy dream of arriving at the airport without my luggage and realizing I never even packed it! Then I woke up, scratching my head, thinking WTH!

Don't lose your PDA! My biggest worry is forgetting where I parked my car at the airport.
