Finally, A Good Guy With A Gun

I'm trying to imagine being a citizen with a gun in that situation. Knowing that there were so many other policemen present, who were trained, armed, and outfitted to deal with that situation, I'd defer to them. I can't imagine it would be helpful to have a bunch of armed citizens running around "helping" the police. And I imagine the average guy down on the street didn't have any idea there was a sniper firing down or where he was. It's not like the threat was right in front of them.

But I'm not a gun owner and probably never will be so what do I know.

Seeing how this was downtown Dallas, there must have been hundreds of armed citizens present. Not one of them lifted a finger in taking down the gunman.

No shit. You try to help them by whipping out your glock and they are going to shoot you thinking you're the perp.

Anyone hear of Dylan Nobel? I didn't think so. He was shot and killed by Fresno PD 9 days ago. He was 19 years old. He was unarmed. He was white. It's not always racial.

"Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you."

Sigh
All the negativity, hate, racism, and division this is causing in our country does not make this feel like the UNITED States of America but more like the DIVIDED States of America. I know our country has more heart and love for one another than what we are all witnessing right now and I will be glad to see it again....hopefully sooner than later.

30 misdemeanor arrests/convictions, not many people have a record like that.

No words of liberal wisdom about the police massacre in Dallas by a man hunting white cops.

Sure there is. Here's the statement from the Minnesota victim's family about Dallas. Unlike Hoops - they don't feel any need to dig into a race war when it comes to people being slaughtered. They have so much more to be angry about than Hoops- and yet their conduct is so much more constructive and less hateful

Black victim's family speaks out against murders in Dalls

"We wholeheartedly reject the reprehensible acts of violence that were perpetrated against members of the Dallas Police Department," Quinyetta McMillon, the mom of Alton Sterling's son Cameron Sterling, said in a statement released by her lawyers.

"Regardless of how angry or upset people may be, resorting to this kind of sickening violence should never happen and simply cannot be tolerated," the statement continued. "Members of law enforcement have a very difficult job and the vast majority conduct themselves honorably as they protect and serve our communities."

You lump the assassination of 5 cops into the same category as the shooting of an armed felon and a man with multiple convictions. In those 2 cases you call them executions, but you don't know the facts leading up to the shootings.

Perhaps you should wait for the facts to come out.

The Minnesota victim wasn't an armed felon. If he were a felon, he wouldn't have been able to legally carry like he was. His conviction record consists of nothing more than traffic tickets. And the facts as I saw them on the video, the officer asked him to get his identification and he was shot 4 times with a 4 year old girl just a couple of feet away from him. Then the officer gets caught on tape trying to change the story.
two things for mali......one, the videos i've seen all start after the shooting. I'll hold comment until all the facts come in.
Second, the good guys with guns ran TOWARD the gun fire.....the unarmed protesters did the wise thing and ran AWAY from the shots. The good guys with guns didn't know who was being targeted, they put an explosive end to the shooting.
