Finally heard from the Trump campaign.

"The organized Republican party disintegrated several years ago in Nevada"

As usual pj is wrong. The Republicans control the state legislature, the governor is Republican, one US Senator & 3 of 4 Congressmen.
Extreme vetting?

Trump has no ground game in Nevada. None. The bartender at the VFW was trying to get some literature to distribute. It came, a week later, from an Arizona address.
Yet when a vendor in a local flea market sold some unauthorized Make America Great ball caps, he got a cease and desist letter from a Vegas attorney.
One has to wonder where all the money they are raising is going. I've yet to see a Trump ad in what is supposed to be a battleground state.

Yea, I don't think the Donald has the faintest clue how to run a campaign and I guess it's obvious his campaign staff doesn't either. Well the guys not a politician and has never really run for any office before let alone a NATIONAL campaign so it doesn't surprise me very much. Oh well, I don't think door knocking does that much good anyway does it?

BTW thinking about it, going door to door for the hill might even be a dangerous thing or at least get embarrassed by the number of people completely laughing in their face, I sure as hell wouldn't do any door knocking for her, maybe phones but I think that might bring the equal amount of laughter.
Seriously, I think most people already like her and will vote for her and those people who already can't stand her and know she's a crook and a liar and no way in hell will vote for her.
Same with donald, either are for or against him, no door knocking will change their opinions/votes.

Campaigns call, knock on doors and mail to likely yes voters. The target audience for Trump and Clinton will be different. These are all research based about where a candidate's support is on a given year. It's called rallying your base. And it is important work.

So if volunteers are getting laughed at on a routine basis it means the campaign manager is worthless.

Ground game is identifying your voters, seeing that they are registered, seeing they get ballots, asking them to speak to friends, hiring buses to get your people where they are needed.
Hilary has people manning booths outside of the dev, in various malls, precinct captains, block captains.
In my complex, they have identified who is pro Clinton and are looking for volunteers to ensure everyone who wants to vote Clinton will have a ballot or a ride to vote.
That's how you organize and win.

The Governor is at war with the Republicans in the legislature. The party is split into several fractions, one of the reasons s why Trump has no campaign here.

Having a ground game doesn't mean going house to house.

I know it doesn't. Forky brought up door knocking a few times and it just seemed silly to me. That's what I was commenting on.

Since you wrote this I've been looking around for any sign of ANY campaign going on around here and I've seen zero. As a matter of fact I've never seen a
booth anywhere, I've even lived in Northern Va. since we moved here '90 and remember, we're a big battleground state. There's been some visits to our state but that's about it. Oh we do get robo calls and mailers, but that's an immediate hang up and mail go right in the trash, I can't expect I'm any different than anyone else.

Who here has ever read a candidates mail or listened to the recording? More Iimportantly, how many have ever been influenced by either?
