Five Guys Burgers & Fries

The best burger chain I've ever eaten at.
And they put the delicious fries in a brown paper sack that gets all grease stained.
It was very tasty.
Five Guys is the best chain burger I've ever had. Can't call it fast food because it's to $$$$ to be compared to other fast food burgers.

PJ's right, once a month or you'll be washing with a stick.

We have had 5 guys for awhile. They have fresh peanuts to eat while waiting for your order. They also advertise where the potatoes came from that day. I always thought that was odd but interesting. I love their burgers. They remond me of the burgers you had at a home cookout growing up.
I (we) have had both. I would put 5 Guys MUCH higher up the scale than In-and-Out Burgers. Other than the sexual innuendo of the name of In-and-Out Burgers, I have never been particularly impressed with them. And yes, the french fry serving size at 5 Guys is HUGE...enough to share instead of getting one per person.

As far as I know, they are not in the Southern California area, and as good as they probably are, I'm kind of happy they are not here. They are one less temptation.
Both are good fast food Burgers and at the top for fast food, I love In-n-out's fries, I live in Frisco have not been to it yet here still waiting a couple weeks. I would pick in-n-out first of the two.
There are actually numerous locations in Sourthern Ca right now. 8 in San Diego, Temecula, Huntington beach, etc

All of those locations are more than an hour from Pasadena.

I definitely rank Five Guys higher than In-N-Out.
- Fries are light years better.
- More toppings to choose from for your burger. I get A-1 sauce, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato.

I limit myself to one visit a month because their food is as unhealthy as it is yummy

Yes, more toppings, perhaps. We have one which opened up about a year ago, just up the street from my casa...But they don't have GREEN CHILE! Yes, they put jalapenos (not the same) on them, if requested, but I live in the great Land of Enchantment. Home of the green chile cheeseburger. OK, we don't have IN-N-OUT (but I get that fix when I visit Las Vegas.)

There are 8 Five guys in San Diego? If so I have no idea where they are.

I like In-n-Out's burgers, but not a fan of the fries. Also, In/Out is known for their very limited menu, so no special toppings etc. Burgers, fries and shakes...that's it. And yes I know about their "secret" menu.
