Flamingo Deluxe rooms

Has anyone stayed in a deluxe room at the Flamingo recently. I am thinking about staying in one in May and was wondering if they are newly renevated or worth staying in. I dont need anything fancy just looking for a nice room that is clean and comfortable. any feedback on the Flamingo would be helpful. We are a group of 10 men looking to book 5 rooms and refuse to pay a resort fee.

The GO rooms are pretty nice stayed in them many times, but the deluxe rooms are not very deluxe I believe they were remodeled last in about 2004 and they were very average then.

thanks for the feedback. I also hear the pool is always cold. is that just a rumor? How can the pool be so cold when the weather is hot. do you think this is a good pick for us or do you have another sugestion for a hotel on the strip in the same price range

Never had a problem with the pool it is one of the best in my opinion. The Flamingo is just about the best location in Vegas and easy foot access to the strip as well. Regarding the deluxe rooms if you just want a place to crash with the guys they are not that bad a little worn and dated but they will be clean the bathroom is very small if that matters to you. I got my nephew and his buddy one of the deluxe rooms last Christmas and they were fine with it.
