Flamingo Fab Deluxe Rooms?

I booked 4 nights comped in april 2013 for a Fab Deluxe room. I have stayed at Flamingo many times and like the casino and Bugsey's Bar and usually end up there for some gambling no matter where i am staying. BUT unless we get a GO room, I find their rooms woefully inadequate. Have they renovated? Anyone stayed in a Fab Deluxe room? Anyone have pictures or can comment on the room? I love the location but can't stand a dirty wornout room.
I was booked into a Fab deluxe in August but got a free "upgrade" to a suite. The suite was very old and worn out. it's just part of the charm of the Flamingo.
"The suite was very old and worn out. it's just part of the charm of the Flamingo. " Gotta love that old and worn out charm ROFLMAO
I am going based on the pics on the booking site but I dont think they have any "old rooms" anymore...I think those are all dedicated as pet rooms.

The suite they gave me at Flamingo is not even listed on their webpage. LOL. It's a special room at the end of the hall.
a few years ago we were "upgraded" to a suite at the Flamingo with the $20 trick. Suite was 2 rooms but the couch was so stained and dirty that i could not imagine even sitting on it. I called the desk to complain and they said they would move us to a different suite. We followed the representative thru some hallways that looked fairly new and quite nice and then farther and farther we went to an older part of the hotel. The suite we were given was quite large with floor to ceiling windows and was moderately clean. The bed was nice but there was NO CLOSET, just a pipe clothesrack on wheels, also no safe. After a long flight and the inconvience of moving , we decided to stay, but it certainly wasn't much of a suite.
Just got back from a 3 night comped Fab Deluxe room. Room was OK. Those rooms are upgraded from the old Flamingo...as far as beds and decor. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Furniture/dresser, etc are banged up on the legs from years of rough vacuuming I guess. Floors are a Pergo type fake wood, so no smelly stained carpet. Room also has a huge area large enough for a couch, but just big empty space over next to the window. A goofy looking fake fur thing is on the bed, but I threw it over in the corner, because it made no sense. Restrooms are very small, one
sink, no counter area , and combo tub/shower. Overall, great room for free...but nothing special if you have to pay.
Hubby and I stayed there back last January and tried one out. The floor is not carpet it is fake wood like mentioned before...and the furniture was upgraded.

It is not as nice as a GO room, but we were 50 yard line facing the strip- so it was a great view.

The floors create a loud atmosphere with people walking on them as well as reverb from people talking or in some cases shouting late in the night.
