Flamingo hotel reviews

I am wondering about the Flamingo hotel. I have read great reviews and bad reviews on trip advisor. Has anyone stayed at the Flamingo recently and were you happy with the condition of your room? I plan to reserve a "Go" room since most reviewers recommend that. thank you mv in ct
A GO room is the only room i would recommend at Flamingo. Yes, they are pink, but so much better than the regular rooms. We once had a suite there that was laughable. No safe and the closet was a clothes rack. No kidding! Also, not very well cleaned. So, do what you have to do to get a GO room.
I will give you this Warning...

We visited the property in April (just breakfast buffet and casino visit). There was construction going on and the nature of the construction was that it tripped up the fire alarm every 10 minutes. So we had our breakfast with the alarm blaring in our ears. The manager said its been doing that since February.

I dont know if thats done now or not. But that was super annoying.
I have long said that I would not stay there unless I was 100% sure I was going to be in a GO room. But the new FAB rooms look pretty good too.

many of the bad reviews you see are probably either for standard rooms or people who let the fact that most hotels in Vegas do not provide coffee makers completely ruin their trip

The Flamingo no longer has any "standard" or "deluxe" rooms left, they have all been renovated to FAB rooms, and you can no longer book them online.

I've stayed in the newly redone FAB rooms and have stayed in the GO rooms many times. My rooms have always been clean. As a note, I am n a hotel 150+ nights each year as I travel on business, and I LOOK to see if the room is clean prior to unpacking.

The GO rooms are my fave, love them. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with the FAB rooms. If you are expecting the Wynn, you will be disappointed. If you are expecting a pretty solid room, you will like it.

I've stayed at all the CET props except PHO, and spent many nights at Caesars last year in some really awesome rooms. But I love the casino and the vibe at the Flamingo, so now I'm choosing to stay there instead of Caesars.

I agree with Karen and Diane. The Flamingo GO Rooms are a little better than the FAB rooms but either are decent for a stay. The pool is really great this time of year and the hotel location is great.

Carlos N Charlies is now completed so the downstairs construction shouldn't be going on unless another project is underway.

If you aren't expecting a 5 star hotel then you will be satisfied.
While the GO rooms still look good today, I think as styles change, people are going to look at the GO rooms some time in the future and ask "What were they thinking?". My last stay at the Flamingo was in the early 2000's. I had a conference there. I must have been in an older section of the hotel. While my room had a sofa, it was stained and very worn. The carpet also looked like it had seen better days.

The great thing about the Flamingo is the location of it. You are right in the middle of the strip and not far from any of the other big casinos on the strip.

This site has a lot of pictures of the GO rooms:

I was unaware that all of the rooms had been renovated to either GO or FAB. How FABulous if that is true.

However, I was checking dates online for a possible stay later in the year, and both GO and FAB came up as comped options for me. So whoever told you you can not book them online was mistaken
