Football Predictions

Will be in Las Vegas in December and was wondering if there are any places downtown to buy Football Forecast Sheets. I want to play on some of the games but need as much info as I can get. I will be staying at "The Cal". If anyone is familiar with any stores in the area that sell them, it would be most appreciated. Thanks.
If dobot is referring to "tip sheets" to assist his handicapping effort, . . . DonDiego does not know of any source downtown.

dobot could pr'bly find a rack of the weekly Gaming Today newsletter in some of the sportsbooks for free. It is worth the price. It includes some handicapping selections from regular columnists and the Bookies Battle showing the "pick" for each NFL game by 52 guys operating the books around town. [This weeks consensus looks like the Jags + 10.5 over the Texans.]

The best source in Las Vegas for such information and gambling publications generally [sorry, Huntington Press] is The Gamblers Bookclub at 5473 S. Eastern Avenue. - between Hacienda Avenue and Russell Road, near the airport.

The selection of Tip Sheets includes, f'rinstance, The Gold Sheet, and Power Sweep.
[n.b.DonDiego assumes no responsibility for the content of these publications and, especially, NO RESPONSIBILITY for the results of wagering based upon such content.]

If dobot is into gambling/Las Vegas/ etc. generally, he could amortize the taxi-ride or long-walk somewhat by purchasing lots of other books and such.
Don Diego, Thanks for the info. Yes, I was referring to "Gold Sheet", "Power Sweep", etc.

HEY!

dobot11 asked a Las Vegas gambling related question. And DonDiego responded with a cogent helpful answer. And nobody else did. And dobot11 thanked DonDiego.

[DonDiego just wanted this event noted.]

In all honesty, those tip sheets aren't worth a damn except for the Sports Reporter, and since they changed ownership they aren't what they used to be. However, some of these tip sheets can be found in some gift shops in the hotels. You could ask the bellman or the front desk if there are any newspaper stands downtown. I know there used to be one on Paradise.

But the easiest way to make money is go to the sports book and start asking people which team they like. When you get a lot of players taking one side, just go to the window and bet AGAINST that team.

You could just ask me and then bet the opposite. I'm worse than flipping a coin.
Just go opposite of Roscoe picks.
